Mhm I know… Just a bit sad it’s finally fixed lol. The end of an era.
I’m late but now on the dev server mistrals were changed to 16G, now leaving the Type 91 in the dust
Yea they should change type91 too. If no one does report I will do it later if I won’t be too lazy
Did the thermals get nerfed??
Yup
Any reason to nerf this? Or just needed to check off the To-Do-List that includes ‘Nerf Japan in any way possible’
Because they weren’t going to buff the Type 81C’s thermals, so to keep it consistent and make sense, they dropped the Type 93’s thermals down a peg
You still going to do it or no?
I got ban after said that their explanations explained nothing when yet another nato tanks armor drama happened and gave up on this. They are changing vehicle stats not based on sources or logic but on assumptions about vehicles from their own imaginary world where only 1 nation can make good vehicles.
Go do it if you want but prepare yourself for talking with crazy people.
I think it’s hilarious that Gaijin really thinks it’s realistic that a missile can be dodged 100% of the time just by doing a simple turn or corkscrew. It was actually good last time I played it (after Type 81 was added) but playing it today it felt like it was back to how it used to be. I literally had a helicopter at optimal range dodge two of my missiles without even maneuvering, they were just pointing down to pick up speed and that was enough, apparently.
The Type 91 missiles are still the only manpads to also not receive any buff in g-loading and such unlike every other manpad from the other nations now.
It’s also still slower and with less battery life even being 10mm larger in diameter than the FIM-92 stingers, with the only benefit being a noticeably larger warhead.
So from the dev stream, we will be able to reload missiles on type 93 one at a time instead of having to deplete all the missiles to reload them on caps
Mmmmmhm. You’re able to do it on the dev server which is up now.
Dev
Missile itself still didn’t receive buffs like any of it’s counterparts and is still underperforming though.
Apparently even Igla in game don’t have 10G, but 10.5G. While that isn’t a big improvement by any means, it does beg the question why the Type 91 is the least agile of all MAPADS in game.
This almost feels intentional at this point…
It also pulls like right off the rail too
Frankly I dont understand why the Type 91 did not get the same G loading and fin AOA buff that the stingers did, both missiles have nearly identical control sections and that 10mm size difference is not at all enough to cause the missile to loose that much G loading performance.
Any FM changes to the stinger should be applied to the Type 91 and vise versa imo, they are very much so sister missiles.
If anything, the extra diameter should in theory help with G-loading a little because you can have more resistant/larger/more electronics to handle it, and with the extra kilo of weight currently being in nothing- it isn’t clear why the missile is heavier when the warhead is the same weight, and for 10mm more diameter the missile is slower, doesn’t go as far, guides for less time, and has worse pull.
are there any active bug reports for this? I dont know how to find the bug report forums let alone navigate them /submit one so im interested in seeing what there are out for the Type 93 and the Type 91
