State of Air Sim 2025

Sometime ago (a few months to a year), there was a temporary limitation on new lobby creation by players in Air Simulator. It was explained as a technical issue. As a result, instead of having 10 lobbies per popular bracket—each containing only 4–8 players or teams that were unevenly balanced—we had full 16-player teams across three sessions.

The system did not start a new session until the previous one was full. It might be unpopular opinion, but it was one of the best few hours for Air Simulator (unless you remember the matchmaking sessions before Enduring Confrontation in 2015).
For me it is also clear, that having full lobbies, without possibility to create another and another to play 2 vs 2 will also cut some exploit opportunities like mentioned above.
