State of Air Sim 2025

I wonder what map and how he survived the ItO’s and SPAAG’s at close range…

Sure, I don’t care as long as the don’t j out

Just two examples from just yesterday.
With almost 40days on sims EC:

I don’t have problem with that someone is using that tactic, problem is that it’s rewarding way too much with mission score points so noone is actually taking other objectives during the event.

I can’t actually remember a single Sim EC match I was in that was finished by destruction of airfields, or even a single airfield. Do you guys really find this is common?

Whenever there is an event grind ongoing, every 3-4th match; the 10-<12 bracket is particularly bad

Also dont forget the Ju-288s making 4 out of 5 6.0-7.0 lobbies a game of dropping on bombers that have no deadzones with no other activity going on.

…Would have been better if one could not net -100K SL in a sim match, and people without premium would not be so scared to play properly, but alas

Wow, it’s really interesting idea - if you go -100k instant kick from the lobby, like with a teamkill. For sure, it would work only until they add some premium fast strike aircraft as premiums have much lower repair/spawn cost. But it’s “SOMETHING” could easily fix that and also some other “botting accounts” multikill mechanics which are rare now but still happens.

well I meant rather that we would have a higher influx of people actually looking to play and not suicide into the airfields if the price tag was not so high, especially in the fun higher props / early jets region

cutting rewards will be done across the board and will make things even worse, while “pro” grinders (and grind bot farms) will adapt; I don’t think “punitive measures” are the solution

I’m worried, that anyway they could still do that - just jump from one session to another.

@Schindibee got one more fresh. It shows that it is makes only 4 runs (tbh 3 runs, one time he j-out while being intercepted) for one player to totally destroy 3 airstrips making spawn not possible for not carrier based planes. Guy played Q-5L and was only one to attack airbases on that session.

That’s also an awfully small map for high tier, and I suspect this fact attracts zombers even more.

I never play that map (and any other small map) above 10.0, and even at 10.0 veeeery rarely, so my observations are only valid for large maps.

I find that the PvE crowd is much worse on the SA server.

Most usually leave soon after you start shooting them down. The ones that stay usually insult you and/or help the enemy find you so they can spawn camp you. I usually hardly ever have to report stuff but SA sim ab is a different beast.

Funny to see them go on about “he must be a foreigner because he doesnt understand the rules that SA is PvE”

If there will be no Tunisia in roster, they will go play bigger maps, true.

It’s funny to add that it is quite visible that these guys are swarming sims only on events. Beside event they don’t even touch sims. After almost 3 years situation is the same. As a result we can see how “750k score coupon plane” is much cheaper than “750k score coupon tank” on market after events as on tank events it’s not possible to quickly exploit it like it happens on sims

They already nerfed the multiplier for score into event in sim. Now its not that worth anymore, also the Itos make it painfully hard. Or when ur diving with F-111,shooting all the Mighty Mouses and Gepard insta snap your wing off so you get no score,it sucks.

That guy that you will find on one of my screenshots was able to make 8k in 20 minutes with bases equipped with ITOs.

There is some kine or new meta tho, they make 15-20k/match.(when there is 3other players doing it too), just imagine if there is 1zomber for all 3bases

Firebombs and he need to destroy module to get extra points. As module destruction give more points. So basically the rule is to never bomb the repair module,so the runway and other things slowly repair from completely destoyed to red or orange.

They destroy any module from 100% hitpoints to 0% in one flight. So as many extra points as you can get from every single flight they take. This is of course done with the help of load out change bug/abuse.

Many of them just destroy the airstrip (which btw has more HP than the other modules) and then leave the match with the ~9k points earned in 15-20min just to join a new match and repeat. Some of them stay longer and destroy all modules. I’ve been in several games where the whole airfield(s) despawns after all of the modules take enough damage.

They do not attack close range. They often drop bombs so far away of the airfield that it does not even get found for your team. I’ve been in games where the enemy team cannot spawn due to 3 succesfull suicide attacks by 1 of our players but our team has not been close enough to any of airfields that they would show up in our map.

Not just high! Also WW2.

I find it telling i genuinely enjoy groundpounding in Il2:great battles but feel myself slowly dying of boredom in warthunder when i decide to strap bomvs to my f8f or f4u to divebomb targets. Difference is good variety of targets, varied (AND BEATABLE) defences and consequences.

@Schindibee I think we consider Denmark as a one of bigger maps, here we have only one airstrip left after 1 hour with one guy attacking them.

Idk,from what i remember when i used Q-5L with 8 firebombs, when i bombed runway and destroy it,i got about 1.2k score and that was before the nerf to score in sim.

Just had a match where i was denied about 80% of my kills.

They would just bail the second they got fired at. Seems like the only way to get kills is to use IR.
