ST-A1 and the ST-A2 are borderline unplayable

Technically it already is taken into account.

I feel like the T-34-85 STP should be 6.0

Agreed.

Correct.

The only slow M36 is the American / French M36B1. The rest have pretty good acceleration.

That’s true, though it can be mitigated by 50.cals (which most of these vehicles have access to).

Because, if you haven’t read my reply properly:

And afaik M36B is 5.7, that’s why.

Can be, sure. Should be? Probably not. Most HEATFS slingers at those lower BRs are already quite balanced with all things considered.

They are balanced around BRs we have right now, hence why I said it takes more than just moving one sort of vehicles/bracket somewhere, as I also said:

That’s not what you said initially:

When I said “balanced”, I didn’t mean it as adjective, but as a verb. Rather, they are BEING BALANCED under this condition as if they are not fair in essence but are defined by devs as fair/equal, while in reality are not.

T-58 was BALANCED by devs as 8.3 when it was introduced, but was UNBALANCED when it hit the lobbies. Idk how to explain this grammatical difference, but oh well

Sure, but so are every other vehicle? I’m not sure what your point is.

HEATFS slingers have been in the game for quite a while. They are already balanced fairly well in-game.

so… give away your position before you can go for the kill.
A bit dodgy…

And… m51 does not have a .50. The .30 works on some bushes and small tress but certainly not on all objects.

Well, there are, in fact, bunch of tanks with HEAT-only shells (like Ikv 103, Ikv 91, Eland/Ratel 90, or any tank with French 90mm HEAT spewer), which have a set of various values that determine their BR.

But, I’ll say that again, 6.0-6.7 vehicles can move to 6.7-7.3, which would take not only moving them but some other tanks around there. Can there be exceptions? Probably. Can M-51 be one of them? Probably.

I mean, you’re right to point that out. That’s certainly a trade-off. Though if you are sure you can kill them / disable them with the shot, why not?

The premium M-51 does though.

The part of your post I quoted said “anything with HEATFS”.

My question is… why?
What’s the point of moving them up?

In the same post you followed up with this …

“Even without buff I’d say anything with HEAT-FS as secondary/primary round should be at least 6.7”

Which made it sound like you were including more vehicles and setting a minimum threshold.

It depends on their mobility, which for these examples, as soon as you undo the HEAT postpen nerfs of old and possibly go farther beyond that, would cause these things to skyrocket in BR.

Only the poorly-mobile, turretless, low-velocity, and large/open-topped ones would still be able to see late WW2/early postwar Heavies with truly realistic HEAT postpen.

Idk, using early Cold War HEAT-FS in a Cold War tank against WW2 heavies is not the best thing in my opinion. While I don’t mind time-traveling stuff (see Swedish TT at lower ranks), I don’t see a problem of moving things I mentioned several times already by 0.3-0.7 BR to dissolute them from those heavies. Will they be useless? Likely not. But I prefer having a bit more realistic approach to what tanks face what tanks, while not hurting general performance of the said vehicles. I am not a fan of 155mm SPHs being put at even lower BRs, like M109 facing damn T-34. They probably faced each other in some wars IRL, but again…

I said this:

Because, in my opinion:

There are several reasons why I don’t exactly enjoy HEAT-FS slingers at 6.0-6.7, some which I described above. And gain, I said that as one of the possibilites. They might do buff and move, might do buff and do nothing, or do nothing and move them up – all variants being about fine for me, at least
