Man these things went from complete ass to making the Hunter F.6 one of my favourite jets to fly. Four SRAAM’s, if you get a launch against a flareless aircraft, it’s a kill. Most of the time you’re such close proximity most don’t even notice the missile even if they do have flares.
They used to suck, but now they feel insane. Are they working as intended or are they OP?
The day I played it after last update came out they failed and spun out if you were turning hard while launching. Also it seems a few use of rockets will 100% decoy these much easier than other rockets which makes it seem pretty fair.
It’s insane how for me the F.6 went from ‘get me off this plane’ to pure SL generator. That little extra range changed them completely. I’ve limited tested the new SRAAM in basically every condition possible and got a 100% hit rate each time.
If it shows no sign of being nerfed/reverted I think a talisman is in order
Yep… and this is exactly the change we’ve been calling for months. (every single BR change for the past year+, I’ve linked the changes they need to make to fix the SRAAM and thus the F6 and GR1)
They were OP on release back in 2020. Obviously VERY different enviroment, flares werent as common and people werent as familiar with them, or IR missiles in general, as they are now. They even got the Harrier GR.1 up to 10.0 back in the day lol.
from 2021 to up until their fix, they sucked.
Now they are good.
Inevitably, they will suck again, because Harrier GR.1 will likely see BR increase again.
I remember doing the Buc S1 summer event I think it was in the Hunter F6 at 10.3
That was rough.
Though it wasnt until the end of 2022 where the SRAAMs went from weak but usable to unusable. They changed something about missile aerodynamics and they never worked right after that. I went from dogfighting Viggen Cs in the Harrier Gr1 to just not playing the Harrier Gr1 (in SB, before the current bracket system) .
