Introduction:
With the production of the Casspir APC family of vehicles coming to an end in 1994, the market was open for a new smaller APC with similar capabilities to the Casspir. One of many South African Defence which set out to create an alternative to the aging Casspir was DTM (Drakensberg Truck Manufacturers), which started development on the new Springbuck APC back in 2001. The Springbuck APC would go through various upgrades and would serve in multiple peacekeeping missions on the African continent. In 2012 Springbuck APC family of vehicles was acquired by another South African defence firm DCD Protected Mobility, which itself is famous for creating Mine Detection Vehicles (MDV) such as the Husky and Meerkat. After acquiring the Springbuck APC, DCD went back to the drawing in order to improve capabilities of the Springbuck and to create a new range of Springbuck APC’s, known as the Springbuck SD, Springbuck HD and Springbuck XD. The Springbuck is available in multiple configurations, including ambulance, command and control, explosive ordnance disposal, border patrol etc. In 2023 as part of DCD’s 125th anniversary, the Defence firm unveiled a new variant, the Springbuck Weapons Carrier. This variant of the Springbuck has a flatbed at the rear which allows it to be equipped with a 14.5mm heavy machine gun, 60/80 mm mortars or a ZSU-23-2 cannon, in addition to this the Springbuck can also be equipped with a roof mounted machine gun either manned or remotely operated. It is also worth mentioning the Springbuck features a V-shape hull which allows it to withstand a TM57 landmine directly under the hull, or two under any wheel. For this topic we will focus on the Springbuck equipped with the ZSU-23-2.

+1 a nice mobile vehicle with a shorter wheelbase than Bosvark and a secondary weapon.

Name of the weapon system should be ZU-23-2, or just ZU-23.

ZSU = Zenitnaya Samokhodnaya Ustanovka (SPAAG)
ZU = Zenitnaya Ustanovka (AAA)

Edit; psst, you also need to correct the 3 mentions of ZSU to ZU in the Introduction and Specifications.

This would be great, i find the bosvark too awkward to use especially when defending against ground targets.
