It is bad game design, punishing players for spawning while spawn camping takes no skill.
It would be better to instantly drain tickets if a team is overrun, if that’s what you want.
it isnt punishing players, its just that the players lost the game. winning the game to get to the position of overruning the enemy took more skill than what the losing team had.
no because this takes away the chance from both teams to get rp/sl from killing the spawning people and spawning people being able to kill the “campers”

The spawn protection while you shoot, before you move, and its length is working perfectly fine right now. If MY team has overrun the enemy, and we are up to/into their spawn, everyone has a choice either to hang back and wait, or push forward. If you CHOOSE to go that far into the opposing team’s spawn, it is your own fault if you get killed by an enemy who still has spawn protection. I have no issues preventing this, I just hang back a little while and wait for the protection to wear off.
It is the choice of the player pushing into spawn, do you want to go forward and try and get more points? Or do you want to hang back and prevent yourself from being hit? There is nothing wrong with the current system, it is fully dependent on player choice.
The same goes for the players spawning in at the end when the opposing team is now pushing spawn. You can spawn in and try and get some kills, or don’t spawn in at all. Nothing is being forced. Again, it is 100% player choice. Which is the way it should be. Also, with the 7 min ramp up for repair costs, it a very good deal/trade to spawn in at the end like that, try and get a kill or two, and only pay 1/7th of the maximum repair costs for your effort.
Everyone wins in the current system, again, it only depends on player choice. Don’t like getting killed by a spawn protected enemy? Don’t push their spawn then. You only have yourself to blame if you don’t like dying in their spawn.
I sense some contradiction here. Allowing spawn camping is exactly the biggest deterrent for the enemy to have a chance to fight back.
Read my post above too. There is no contradiction. I think you are also forgetting the reduced repair cost per minute, up to 5 minutes before it becomes max repair cost.
There is a risk versus reward choice for both sides. Each player can make their own choice. No changes are needed at this time. In the future, perhaps. But I have had 0 issues since this current system was implemented, either spawning in on the losing side, or pushing spawn on the winning side.
If you guys like spawn camping, that’s your prerogative. But don’t come here to complain about the little window of spawn protection the enemy gets.
Either way, I have no horse in this race. I will spawn camp given the opportunity, but I don’t think that’s good game design.

Don’t camp spawn, you won’t have to worry about getting shot when you have every advantage that can be had on helpless spawns.
They spawn out in the open, and will die to one of you. Their spawn protection is fine as it stands. Don’t camp spawn or sit in their engagement zone.

I’ve cleared like 6-7 people out of spawn before because of spawn protection on maps with no hill for you to hide behind waiting on my timer to expire. It was glorious, and I am fully for it.

If you prevent people from being able to shoot the red area inside, I can guarantee you that the Spawn Camping will cease, or it will be much more difficult. The actual thing is, we are having small maps with open areas in the middle, cover at around spawns and little time needed to cross the whole map
That is, why should a player risk himself to stay in the empty middle instead of getting a cover and block a road?
And probably he should block a main spot, before lanes divert so more prays, then why not that spawn? A few hundreds of meters of driving anyways.
And there is the spawn camp trend. Protection is used to let people fight back during immortal and when enemies are spotted
Our maps are, sadly, going worse and worse for fighting and getting rewards in the middle. Then why not get to spawn?
Spawn protection as it exists is a good feature.
Player spawn locations are some of the most disadvantaged positions on the map.
As far as I can tell, the system is working surprisingly well. Players are able to defeat spawncamps when the enemy team pushes early and in some cases turn the tide of the battle.
However, the benefit of the spawn protection isn’t so good as to be abused by players.
I think spawn points need to be enlarged to the point where players can spawn along the entire edge of the map. Which will make it difficult and less practical to encircle the spawn.

in my opinion against spwancampers would help if there arent only 2 Spawns, more like a spawn area were you can choose were exactly you want to spawn and maybe if you get improved arty for spawn area, so you can put in your spawn arty that dont effect your team, has a short calling time and is higly precise. so the own spawn area becomes to a deathtrap for enemy tanks
