Spawn observation from a returning player

I recently returned from about a two year break and have noticed they have really done nothing with the spawn system. I know spawn camping has always been a thing and in my opinion it is fair game if you leave your flanks open. However, from what I have seen since coming back is playing the objective has taken a massive back seat to pushing the spawn. I have had a handful of good matches but most have been blowouts for one side or the other.

Typical flow of battle is 90% choose one flank and try to push through to spawn. If the push get defeated opposite team pushes spawn and its game over. Full disclosure I typically play mid BR’s and have no idea what top tier looks like. Now I could be mistaken but I though they were talking about rotating spawn points where they would jump around the map every few minutes or so but that very much could have been a fever dream.

It’s never “fair game”. I did not leave any flank open.

If the spawns worked like you say, but for both teams, and in a manner where they go back a bit from where they start each time, that could make a difference possibly.

But really, the communication in matches has gone so far downhill that it’s horrid. I say ‘Lets go people’ and get met with a bunch of people telling me to shut up, or just 'No’s.

Lots of people accusing people of being nefarious because there’s no way they got them in that way otherwise.

But I do think a lot of people have chat turned off, and that adds to the blinkers on gameplay we’re rewarded with now.

Be sure to try communicate to the team, and not spam in the same sense. Good luck out there.
