Well, considering the spawn camping issue has been worked on, and that people decide that not enough is being done to save them, the ‘effort’ that gaijin make is overshadowed by those who want to exploit because they think themselves too highly to be caught in this situation.
After all, they HAVE taken action, in a number of ways, but you openly admitting that you were exploiting, and are some of the reason for the new system, makes you lose any reason to be validating such an action.
And there is no reason to not to exploit a game mechanic like against players doing bad sportsmanship actions like spawncamping in the first place if they facing no penalties. Fighting fire with fire. Same rights for everyone.
Nope… You’re the one being unsporting. You being flanked and spanked is your own issue, and your want to avoid that, whilst taking potshots at the enemy whilst invulnerable shows a spite issue.
After all, this is a 2 year old thread, and NUMEROUS efforts have been made to fix it, but it’s only not enough for those who are still harping on about it.
Fair, the devs can do stuff to help like not mess up the maps and whatnot but team coordination is important and there’s no emphasis on that right now.
The emphasis on not being a team has been created by those who say ‘Don’t trust your team to be there’ and all the old ‘enemy in blue’ nonsense, as well as people who have been constantly telling people to turn off their chat.
well nobody is forced to spawncamp. Being spawncamped is something you cannot decide. “exploiding” the unvulnerability would never be a thing or never work if nobody is spawncamping and as I said, nobody is forced to spawncamp. Imagine just NOT do it. It could be so simple.
It’s something you can prevent, or at the very least communicate to your team.
The exploiting I was referring to was your admitted history of taking shots while invulnerable, and j-ing out to avoid giving the kill credit to the other.
That denying of the kill, whilst having taken shots makes it more clear, is the exploiting. You losing, nope.
But who decides what’s ‘acceptable’ in your eyes, because it’ll be different everywhere, and it still doesn’t have any bearing on this… If you can be stopped before you end up at the field, or better yet, if the reinforcements you are expecting to have rush up because they’re spawning, then all the better to secure the win…
There is no issue with spawncamping, it’s only when it’s not working for you.
If anything, as I have made mention of multiple times over the forums, the spawn of the team who is being camped on, needs to be brought further back each time they end up having this trouble, in match… So it’d stop the complaining, it’d just keep moving the losing team, further off the map.
Also, many ignore the other spawn that they can easily pick on a frequent basis.
no, I do not participate in spawncamping anymore. I did it in the past, but it makes the game so much more boring and feels very unrewarding for me, if every game is just a coinflip scenario. Isn’t it? Image a football/soccer game but everytime a team scores a goal they can place the ball right infront of the opponents goal. Would you watch a game like this? Probably not and I think it’s no different in Warthunder.
can work, but from my experience spawncamping happens most times simultaneously on both spawnpoints. So that doesn’t change that much most times. It’s not an effective solution for this problem.
Player driven polls are always questionable as the major situation is that the actual majority of peopel take it as part of the game, whilst those afflicted will fixate and be rampant.
It was rhetorical.
It’s not necessarily a coinflip scenario if people actually look out for the flank though? And it’s their own bad luck or neglegence that they are being flanked in the way they are.
Pretty sure the proper analogy in this sense should be a team of players who can only play the midfield… Wings that can’t act and then everyone rages because they got outplayed.
There really doesn’t need to be an argument. The devs can do some stuff like improve maps or add the spawn detection radius, but after that it’s up to the players to play the game fairly and defend themselves. A lot of people get really angry about issues like spawncamping or people complaining about those issues and take stuff too far.
They’ve already done a lot in this since the creation of this thread… They’ve made the attackers turn up on the minimap if they get too close, they get flashing indicators over them if they are attacking those who aren’t vulnerable, and you get spawn protection for a short time. They’ve even changed maps too.
All of this is negated mysteriously when people want other things done because Gaijin never does anything, or it’s just not enough.
Where do you end up stopping because you are trying to save a losing battle?
I use toxic as an umbrella to cover everybody trying to aggressively argue a point that doesn’t even need to be argued and people who are just needlessly hard to be around. You two are kinda falling under the “don’t need to be arguing about this” section. Come to think of it I’m starting to as well. I do understand people way overplay the toxic card and use it as an excuse to just leave a debate when they’re losing, I’ve seen people do that WAY too many times in debates with me, and it just drives me insane, but there is a valid portion of blame to be set on people who are just hard to talk to in general and are a pain to work with.
I get pinged every time someone posts here and can’t turn the individual notifications off. I was trying to just settle a debate and let myself concentrate in peace on work for a minute and a half. Sorry if I “inserted myself in the argument” in such an annoying way, I guess.
That’s for you to fix, but you’re being pinged because you’re being responded to directly.
As I’d said prior the thread is over 2 years old, and it got bumped by someone last month, and right now there’s so much being preached about nothing being done where in the meantime LOTS has been done to DIRECTLY FIX SPAWNCAMPING.
And just reviewing what’s been brought through the thread since it got bumped is abysmal… Thread, threadjacked to try make a suggestion of 30+ points…
That’s beside the point… Refer to what we were talking about, compared to what you think we’re seeming to talk about so you can argue non-existant points as usual to flex your ‘’‘skills’‘’.
Your discussion got locked because your argument wasn’t very strong. I’d assume.
The reality is, you cannot stop spawn camping unless your team bothers to stop bum-rushing straight into the enemy.
By the time Spawn Camping becomes a viable tactic against the enemy team, your team refuses to play defensively, and the few who do are often not enough to stop us from staying on the offensive.
