There generally isn’t much that I need to add… Spaa doesn’t give enough rewards to be so damn expensive, why would I spend more time grinding the russian spaa line then just focusing on the heavy/medium tank ones? Spaa doesn’t give much of a reward and I only use it when I’m bored and just want to chill and be silly.
My solution is to make them cheaper (in terms of rp mainly) giving higer tiers (rank 4/5 and above) half or something of the current rp required.
I don’t see making spaa better at grinding as a solution the cost will always outweigh the gain when it comes to spaa IMO
I agree their relative RP/SL costs are probably too high, but the bigger issue imo is the stock grind and general “every day” use of them and their rewards being too low.
Recently finished the stock grind for the Rapier and there were many matches where I sat AFK because there was no CAS to shoot down and when I did the rewads were. A little low.
So a notable increase in the rewards for actually using an SPAA I think would do a lot to increasing the player base’s interest in using them and farming them far more.
SPAA is a support class and should be treated that way when it comes to researching them. As you said why spend your time researching them when I will have more fun and success playing tanks.
There is no assumption. It is a team game. If someone chooses to act like some Call of Duty kid who only cares about themselves, that is on them. You’re in control of how you play. I play for my team. I play support vehicles to support the team.
Hope gaijin considers creating SPAA PvE event using the ground battle maps, there are some SPAAs that are exhausting to grind like those that use SACLOS, Osa, Strela or are IR guided. (I want to spade everything)
A LOT of players in War Thunder completely ignore the battle objectives and are just in it for themselves. You can not count on support from your team.
And that’s aside from the already mentioned poor rewards, high cost of research and repair, and high vulnerability to both ground and air attacks.
