And see my replay to the dude
You can trying jump into fighter and kill the CAS.
Nice deflection… has nothing to do with the topic or my post to the dude.
Stingers are extremely broken. Their seeker overperforms a ton, and sometimes the missile itself won’t render for multiple seconds after launch. Not to mention, snow and sand maps where the trail is near invisible.
The fact that 1980s SAMs face 1940s and 50s plane is just baffling. All of the early SAM vehicles, (stingers, Shilka 4M, Chaparral) should be moved up by 1.0.
Maybe HE-VT rounds need to be added to more MBTs like on Chinese ones, so that all these players using any excuse not to bring an SPAA can at least try contribute to anti-CAS duties. But even then, most of the time it is the lack of situational awareness - some players simply don’t know what the heck is going on around them and won’t even see the air.
I mean quite a few smaller nations still had Gen 1 jets flying in the 80s. Even more would of had early Gen 2 stuff from the late 50s
The Swiss had Vampires flying up till the late 90s
…which is more dangerous, more expensive in SP, less lethal and slower?
The best solution is just driving around and get destroyed by bomb/missile because jumping into spaa is low reward and jumping into fighter is dangerous, expensieve and slower then CAS.
Do you play AA often? I completely disagree with this to be fair. As an SPAA main, there’s always a couple of vehicles that outclass the SPAA system you are using at your BR. So no…
Playing SPAA is easy, yes. Doing it well (or very well) is a LOT more difficult. ;)
Absolutely not. Stingers, contrary to your opinion, are far from broken, haha.
Besides the fact that at every BR you have an enemy vehicle that can completely outrange you, (most helicopters), you also are going to struggle against enemy ground vehicles. :)
High reward for some SPAA:
Spoiler
… that act more like a TD than SPAA, lol
Big SL/RP gains over two sessions by donking on endless tanks:
I thought your most played vehicles would be SPAA, now I’m disappointed.
For WW2 BRs, ehh maybe. For anything higher? Certainly not.
I don’t play SPAA a lot, aside from M19A1 and M42. I play it enough to not sit in the exact spot I spawned in, unlike most CAS haters.
They’re not broken against 10.3s. They’re actually quite balanced in that regard. 1980s SAMs against 1940s and 50s planes however . . .
Helicopters outranging SAMs is good. Helicopters suck at pretty much anything else.
I mean, I needed to unlock them somehow. :D I primarily focus on SQB nowadays anyways. :)
But yeah, I absolutely focus down the SPAA research tree lines. :)
SPAA is low reward when CAS is not spawning, by which CAP is even more useless, and tanks are having fun :D
Me looking at those non-op planes which are never played and never thought about:
Sure, you can play like a teammate, but the game does not encourage it, I mean do you really see people getting nukes from helping their team, disabling a enemy tank so another teammate can get the kill? No, people are encouraged to kill not win. I wish the game was more team focused but right now, it isn’t
and can you clarify what “support vehicles” are?
who cares if spaa is brainded, what’s the problem with having a relaxing experience, even if rewards were amazing, it would never become viable for grinding
The problem is CAS haters complain it’s too hard and wanna make it even more braindead.
Idk man, cas shouldn’t be in ground rb tbh… What am I supposed to do when a kh-38mt snipes me from 20 km away? Or a heli that just hovers and removes a team one by one? In most tanks you don’t even have LWS and therefore can’t know when a heli is targeting you, so smokes isn’t really a viable counter.
even if you spot the heli, what do you do then? smoke until you’ve ran out?
Just don’t play toptier. Toptier is an absolute mess even without CAS.
