SPAA J'ing out before you can kill them

Not if that is the case every time (or a large majority of times) you do that, then it’s pretty clear what the intentions are.

Crashing for a bomb kill is done to insure the kill, not to deny enemy kill credit

J’ing out after firing your drone’s missiles is done because they’re too slow to fly back to AF and rearm, not to deny enemy kill credit.

See the key difference between those two examples, and J’ing out with the express purpose of denying kill credit?

Well it is irrelevant because nowhere in the ToS does it state I am obligated to die to the enemy before changing vehicle, leaving the game or anything else.

Does not matter if a missile is heading for me, a tank shell, if I’m about to be flanked. It does not state that you are required to die to an enemy before leaving vehicle/game.

Actually crashing for a bomb kill is against the ToS because you are deliberately reducing your teams available tickets by killing yourself. You are taking deliberate actions that contribute to the loss of the game for your team.

Actually J’ing out after firing a drones missiles is intentionally denying the enemy a kill, against the ToS because it is exploiting the leave vehicle mechanic.

Those are both however VERY fine lines to walk there. Both those situations are going to be hard to prove your case in (likely goes both ways for those specific situations).

It’s going to be quite hard to prove intention in those cases so Game Rule 9 of the TOS is likely going to play a role.

They both do lean towards not being okay though.

They can very easily fix this by just making it so if you J-out in an SPAA it just gives the kill to the closest aircraft in the vicinity

With people that intentionally crash in arb they should just make maneuver kills a thing and like above give the kill to the closest player.

Are they perfect solutions? No but outside of hard banning people there isnt a way to really stop it. Extending crew locks wont make a difference and other solutions like increasing repair costs tenfold dont help either.

Another thing worth noting is the current state of ground rb notably higher tiers. Its no secret that CAS in general is probably one of the most disliked aspects of ground atm especially with how congested and small most of the maps are. So playing certain vehicle classes on them is generally more of a pain than anything. Add into that mix something like a Fully loaded F-15E or Su-30 and you can see why players start to do the things they do. These are also a contributing factor to why 1 death leavers are so prevalent.

So while yes this is an issue that needs to be tackled it should be done at the same time as fixing the other underlying issues with ground rb as a whole that cause players to do this in the first place.

To be clear i am not suggesting they need to remove cas or add a tank only mode. I play cas myself, heck i ground the entire Russian heli tree out because i like the Mi-28 (BF4 helicopter moment). But I am not going to act like planes as a whole and how they interact with ground rb dont need a massive overhaul.

I love 504

Again, if done systematically it is against the spirit of fair play.

If done with the purpose of denying the enemy a kill it is against the rules.

The Rules doesn’t need to explicitly state anything, in either direction. If judged by the team to be against the spirit of fair play then it is. It would be impossible to list every little scenario and every situation and all variables of what is and isn’t allowed, the document would be thousands of pages long at that point and completely unreasonable to try to enforce.

I see no reason to try to convince you further, i’ve said how things are and if you refuse to acknowledge that then that is on you.

Define spirit of fair play.

Let’s keep in mind how cas abusers always consider spirit of fair play when they spam planes in tank games.

Casino_Knight is cooking here

What are drone players expected to do aside from just J out though? The drones have no repair cost, so by design they’re intented to just be tossed out after use.

don’t spawn drones or you get banned

If a moderator or some other type of administrator starts looking through your replays, and sees that many times you J out while a missile is coming towards you… pretty cut and dry. This isn’t a one-and-done deal.

Go fly back to the airfield, you still have a chance of helping the team if you already got 2 AGMs out before dying.

This is anti team-play.

Your slow drone going back to airfield is taking long minutes. Considering that matches are very short, you are spending half of the match doing nothing, just gliding towards airfield. You can be reported for passive behaviour - you are wasting time and you are not helping your team fight.

Gaijin knows how fast drones fly. Their slow pace would not be something they ban or suspend you for. We could just let them have an Arcade Battle style countdown for reloads if that is a concern. Seems like a viable solution to your concern. Give a drone a 60 second re-arm time and problem solved.

You did not just suggested air reloads in GRB…

Well you’re concerned about drones and their slower pace of place. I only offered you a possible solution.

As far as serious suggestions go, if Gajin added brakes to the drones and allowed rearming at helipads, that would make this slightly less disposable.

You should only be using a drone if it’s your last option, not written in the rules but just obvious… 750SP for something with 2 agms, why?

Take your own advice. You seem upset at a core concept of the game while simultaneously trying (poorly) to justify violating the spirit of the game, of which a game master has explained is against the ToS. Gaijin holds the cards in determining whether or not avoiding an elimation purposefully is such a breach and it sounds like it is. An easy fix to this as well is to just give the nearest enemy the kill, which is a mechanic already in the game for certain circumstances. J’ing out to avoid a missile in ARB is a growing issue. But Im sure Gaijin is monitoring it.
