Its a pretty useless missile, cant lock helis and wont hit anyone going over 600kmph that slightly turns, stingers are much better, but still in that same realm of being pretty easily kinetically dodged.
You are basically an 8.0 spaa with a skill check missile.
The other downside of the shilka being poor gun velocity limiting their kill range compared to other 9.x spaa.
It should not be facing 8.3. Planes like the B-57 and F9F-8 (yeah I know both are way overtiered for 8.3) cannot dodge the 4M for the life of em. Even in a headon pulling as hard as possible with roll, there simply is 0 way.
70sp vehicle should not have advantage over 600sp vehicle.
which 600 SP vehicle? The ones that they are completely outranged by or the ones that can wipe four-five people in a matter of seconds? You want SP costs to go up for what reason? so you can spawn kill a team even faster with bombs?
The ones which are outran by some WW2 props, can’t even pull 8gs (or can only do so for a couple seconds b4 losing all speed), and have 0 ballistics computers whilst being put up against 1980s SAM and radar SPAA.
Ok? By that metric, the LAV AD should be 9.7 or lower then. The only difference between the 2 is speed and slightly more gun performance. Any non manually guided missile should be a lower BR and any auto track missile should be a higher BR. 9M39 outperforms the FIM missile easily even with it being uncaged.
K variant has a 1m proxy fuse which is a gigantic advantage, uncaged seeker, is faster by like what 15%? I don’t get an s80 rocket pod on the zsu, and you dont get to gokart around the map in the zsu its painfully slow, and the second you run into anything that isn’t made of paper you die.
The fact it sits .3 BR higher than the gepard with the same missile, which is a monster on the ground should tell you something.
The only thing the zsu has over it is a radar, which is only useful for not having to check the airspawn every once an while if you keep it pointed there, its not like the radar on the gepard that gives you 360 constant situational awareness.
SPAA being able to play ground matters a lot, there is no where to hide on these small maps and I’m pretty sure I die to tanks more than CAS in pretty much every SPAA, a lot of people are going to be experiencing that in these new SPAA that are just fat sitting ducks, at least in the pantsir I have some chance with the guns to defend myself these new ones can’t do jacknothing.
Are you guys all having 30+inch monitor or what? My top range on a known target with a damn su22’s kh25 can’t keep me safe… and safe distance for bullpup, afaik, is a >6km launch so you are >2km when hit. I don’t see a same lvl of skill and risks compared to point and spray…
So what do you want exactly? useless SPAA or BR changes so you can take your planes and dunk on SPAA with 50 cals? You should take your people’s advice and get into a tank to counter them.
Where is the nonsense? CAS mains constantly tell people playing GRB, the game mode specifically for ground, to hop in planes to counter them. Then they come here and complain about the only BR range that has competitive SPAA because their planes aren’t completely dominating the game mode they are an accessory to. Air players have their own space ground does not. If you added in a mode with no CAS there wouldn’t be enough players to sustain the bs that is CAS favored ground airRB.
Another anti-CAS player using laughably biased terms to describe clearly OP SPAA. You won’t even admit to the premise of the argument you are making; you don’t even make an on-topic argument either. Why are you even posting in this thread then?
Aircraft are an essential part of mixed battles. They are not an “accessory”, except in Ground Arcade. While ground modes are primarily for tanks and other ground vehicles, calling them “specifically for ground” exclusively is an illogical argument only based on meaningless semantics.
Such a no CAS mode would have a queue time longer than Arcade Assault once the novelty stopped. You vastly overestimate the vocal minority that you are a part of.
Someome better call the nobel prize foundation, we have a bona fide genius here that can predict behaviour and preferences of customers out of nothing.
You can have GRB without CAS you can’t have it without tanks. This makes them not essential. you over inflate your importance in GRB. Your classification for OP SPAA is SPAA being able to fight back. Do you think WW2 CAS is balanced? six planes vs. two guys with machine guns? what about top tier is that balanced in your eyes? Is adding in all of these systems that have the audacity to be able to punch back an issue to you?
Why don’t you say the same to the user I was replying to, who first made such an outraging conclusion that “Regular ground RB would die if there were a no CAS ground RB”? That’s right, obvious bias and selective perception. Funny how the same aforementioned person also liked your post, not realizing it equally exposed their opinion.
Very little people want to play a worse version of another mode. For example, take Ground SB. It’s very similar to Ground RB; although it has many differences, the gameplay is very much like RB. Except at most BRs, planes are terrible due to forced sim controls and cockpit view. It’s basically barren, and forced to rotate through one BR range at any given time just so that I can spend 5 minutes waiting for a match instead of not getting into one at all. What makes you think ground only mode would be any different?
Anyways, this is besides the point. None of this excuses the overpowered SPAA at high BRs as mentioned in the title. All this is basically one idiot brigading this thread with off-topic posts, and some other people making supporting bad faith arguments.
To give you an idea of the level of intelligence of this person, they once posted they would play as SPAA in Air mode just to ruin player’s experience in aircraft. An illogical, childish argument motivated by nothing other than biased hate.
But ingame stats don’t support OP SPAA theory at all. If SPAA vehicles were so OP those wouldn’t have such bad stats. Gepard as the most played in RB has 0.26 kills per battle, LAV-AD hes 0.37 kills per battle.
