Sovetsky Soyuz is blatantly Overpowered

Only thing I wanna do is just duel another sub and then ram it when im out of torpedoes lol. Then I won’t touch naval again till they add missile destroyers in 10 years so I can spam tomahawks.

in before an alfa class submarine running 40 knots is somehow the most silent in the lobby

For Italy there is a ship, the up41 it was a base like sovetsky

People who say naval is dead clearly don’t play mid tier brackets where the map is almost always packed with players.

6.3, naval realistic. 5 players in total, 4 since i was squad up and 1 enemy player, we agreed to only targeting bots, he sank a buddy so we ganked him and he left so for 15ish min we had an entire match for ourselves with just bots. Gud times

I really should play realistic more.

It wasn’t laid down, so unlikely. There were some crazy ideas for Impero of Littorio class to equip it with German V-1)

Sovetsky Soyuz was laid down to a fairly sizable degree, the Ansaldo UP41 didn’t even have mockups outside of drawings.

Was the Soyuz ammo depiction in game actually accurate IRL. I know it wasn’t laid down but why is there no ammo in the elevator and its neatly packed away and away from the elevators while the Yamato is packed tight everywhere and ammo loosely packed everywhere. I do know of Soyuz’s insane armor already.

It’s close-ish, barring the filler being A-IX-12 instead of TNT. Oh, and the size of the magazine in the visual model is incorrect, it should be larger (but is yet to be corrected). Hitboxes for the magazines are claimed to be correct and larger than the visual model.

Sure hitbox of soyuz is few cm larger than is in game. XDD

Those are Yamatos hitboxes tho:

Not just larger but its fillying the whole of the inside of armour.
As well as its clipping thru the elevator and that is clipping thru turret.

When I get hit in turret with fire even tho missing elevator I can lit see my elevator getting orange and red in few seconds. Same with getting hit in elevator not just ammo inside elevator but outside. It just goes poof in few seconds.

Devs said “not a bug” / we are fine with yamato being unrealistic buggy and unplayable and soyuz begin op bs. Just as every other report.

Meanwhile soyuz getting hit in elevator “yes a hit” - as well as being able to survive no problem 2 / 3 ammo detonations. And other bs like sinking for hours

Well at least something got accepted. The tottaly working armor model that can get penned by cruisers XD
Devs “oh that might actually be bug huh?”
No shit?

Its exremly fast sinking also wasnt fixed at all. With over 1100 compartments and it could leight be sunk by two air torpedos sometimes in game (lost 65% buoyancy from single russian air torpedo). What a joke. IJN Musashi sunk after last attack in 4 bloody hours.

EDIT:

Original reply:

This link wont open for me. No idea what is going on. Test it yourself to see if it’s just me. The second bug report link worked fine though.

That’s just what people and tech mod say, I personally don’t believe them but :v

pay no attention to the hitboxes before your eyes (listen to the people abusing the op fantasy cope ship, they have YOUR interests in mind)

TBF thats why the snail and the emperor blessed us with the existence of the shimakaze, just to turn everyones experience in naval ec to equally bad no matter what nation youre playing and whatever op ship you might be in. The great equalizer. Hooray! (or something, if it wasnt quite sad actually that theres always gotta be something absolutely busted or possible to abuse game mechanics, well…basically only because they refuse to balance the stuff they put in the game)

Oh there are tons of pending bug reports on the Yamato that got “accepted” ehhh which apparently just translates directly to “ignored” in russian…unfort…

Which clearly shows why “Just wait until it is on live servers, the stuff on DEV servers are subject to change, why is everyone crying about it already” is quite a risky maneuver, when everything that happens in 7 or 8 months after release is making the Yamato not explode from 2000 aa shells stored amidships instantly. BTW, you can easily get onetapped in the Yamato by the OBJ292 dart…try it in custom its hilarious. 7 kg kinetic penetrator (admittedly with enough pen to make it through your main armor belt) into your spaced out magazines -->73 000 ton ship goes “i dont wanna be here anymore” But thats probably because Japanese naval shells all have teleportation characteristics and some are just stored outside of the armored magazines but still able to explode the magazines themselves when hit, or they are schroedingers shells and are both inside the magazines and outside of the magazines at the same time or…they are covered by a whopping 11 mm of armor just above the main armor belt…

Interestingly enough by calculating the explosive mass equivalent in each of the Sojuz’ magazines which (with same amount of shells like the yamato) is much higher because obviously the Sojuz is using shells with a much more potent, mysterious sowjet explosive type. But ofc that doesnt instantly explode a sojuz, what were you thinking??? That just results in some percent of water intake and that turret not being able to shoot anymore (though i could swear some of them just kept shooting after some time but maybe ive just got ptsd from facing sojuz by now)

It’s almost like it has almost double the main belt’s penetration at 2km.

True, i said that it has easily enough pen to go through the main armor belt. Im still willing to bet that theres no way that a dart (after penning that massive 20° angled main belt armor), bulkheads and whatnot (that apparently are missing on the yamato) and other watertight compartments and the (i think someone stated) armored magazines which are spaced out like on no other ship, still makes that whole thing just explode instantly.

But also that doesnt rly matter, its rather just funny, since its basically irrelevant whether the APFSDS to giant battleship interaction is modelled realistically or not.
