So we just accept that naval doesnt work and that it will die because balancing the sojuz doesnt work, or that some people dont want it to be balanced? Cool.
Basically one of the only couple of ships that actually could be balanced because most of its stats are guessing from ideas and wishful thinking and could be altered because real life values dont exist.
Soyuz shell rooms being ‘slightly’ above the water line does not disregard the fact that her ammunition storage is ridiculously smaller than everyone elses. Note how stupidly simplified the Russian fantasy ship stores ammo, absolutely perfect for WT naval gameplay! Add on the fact that its protected by a fantasy 420mm armored plate to make even penetration to reach the damn shell rooms questionable, claims of bias stars to make damn sense.
And according to Statshark average Soyuz k/d ratio is 7.2(!!). Damn, average USSR naval player kills 7 ships on 8.7br before he dies… Closest to it is Iowa with 4.7, others are somewhere between 1-3kd ratio, but nothing surprising here, so let’s wait for some br changes or some nerfs
But even if they will make this ammo placement a bit higher, I don’t think it will really help. If Soyuz make even a little angle, it’s just impossible to penetrate either belt, or a bow, there is only little chance for barbette hit with next explosion or kill it with section damage (but gl to do it while it throughs nuclear bombs to you with 28s reload)
It seems to me that the bias is at its maximum here, since the ammunition magazines of the Roma, Sovetsky Soyuz and Bismarck are made almost identically - there is a terrible lack of detail.
and so much more!
ROF
De-capping plate not working
Cement foam
missing re.2000 plane (should have 3 only has 1 ro.43 ingame)
missing compartments
compartments not absorbing shrapnel
main gun ammo elevator not stopping any shrapnel
main gun dispersion
should have radar
the magazines/shell room is protected by fireproof doors (inst a thing in the game yet ig)
Sap shell having half the pen it should have
missing smoke generators (not a thing for BB,s for now)
main and auxiliary rudders are supposed to be 2 separated modules
It either needs to be nerfed or completely removed from the game. There is no point in continuing an ec match when they come out cause you are just wasting your SL. I might stay in a match a few more minutes once one kills me. After that I’m out. No sense playing the match further.
Seriously dude, nobody cares of your soviet “navy” bias propaganda bs. Literally half of your messages are how Soyuz is SOOO accurate and “not op” (while you keep farming with it) and other half is how its “in game ammo hitbox is actually few cm bigger than it looks in hangar” while yamato and Iowa still has 3x as big ammoracks cuz they dont teleport the shells there and then dont scale them up to actually be the size of their gun.
Let alone just adjusting the Soyuz’s reload rate. I doubt a single source for its RoF exists given it was never built, so the RoF can also just be adjusted accordingly. Gne, Sevestapol, Roma, Rodney, Vanguard, etc etc all have RoF that are innaccurate and have been set for balance reasons. So not only can Soyuz just be given whatever RoF they want as it never existed, it can also be adjusted for balance. 35 seconds would still make it more than competitive.
Yamato has widespead ammo because it has shallower magazine height(due to presence of anti-mine armor below it), and it uses much bigger shell (but not heavy as its size difference).
For Iowa, current shell load is nerfed from reality due to game limit. No.2 turret has at least 510 round, not 390 round of now in game. So abut 140 rounds per gun, which means 40% more shell per gun than Soyuz. Also her magazine is widespread in horizontal and shorter in vertical than Soyuz.
It’s just difference of how they design shell room and magazine. If you surprised by Soyuz already, how big shock you’ll get to Royal Navy design with same number of shell but even deeper and smaller citadel?
Isn’t it implemented as ‘spaced armour’ ingame? At least by the devblog. And considering Roma’s armor is about 450 mm effectiveness ingame I think spaced armour has applied, though it could be hardened with Cement yes.
Bug report it about denied by developers as during 1943 the radar installed, so no radar at start of 1943. If developers won’t change that conclusion, then let’s hope Roma has hydroacoustic then, as installation of radar and removal of hydroacoustic occured in same time when ship got hit from air raid.
Obviously I’m not alone in this, but having the Soyuz sit at the duck pond and smoke pretty much whatever it chooses is weak, IMHO. I got smoked within minutes of spawn twice in less than 5 mins, and that is absurd, over the top. I’m sure the owner of that ship had fun, but I did not. I don’t see any weakness in the armor to make a tactical attempt at hurting it. So, I may just fade out of naval, for there would be no point in playing if all you get is spawn killed. Gaijin doesn’t listen, so time to move on.
Once again, they have ruined an otherwise fun game with overzealous dreaming by installing something that never existed. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
