Through Belarus so should be safe from CAATSA. And apparently the retrofit will be done in Makassar, so probably not that major of an upgrade i dont think

Is is possible if we just send those Sukhois to China for them to upgrade to J-11B/BG standard? It’s fundamentally the same airframe with only detachable parts like Radar, Engine, HUD, cockpit displays, Pylon, Missile, and small non-altering addition like MAW Radome that are being replaced, right?

It was already mentioned in the post but when the contract was effective (circa 2024) there were no serious plans on buying the J-10, as such the contract went to Belarus instead. Belarus has been the one to do repairing and did past upgrades so its not a surprise, they even worked on our Hind fixes as well

Casually swap them for Su-35 when nobody is looking

I wish, but unfortunately now its 98% unlikely. Plus it was mentioned that its only an overhaul so most likely no big changes, if there was any changes ill most likely mention them (if i can)

Also, BrahMos (IN) Cruise Missile✅ confirmed, will be handled by BTI Defence

We still got to wait, because our national budget for 2026 had planned to buy new medium range SAM system, so maybe can get new toy?

Regarding that; during my research for the KM-SAM Block II suggestion for Korean TT, I came across a paper that mentions plans to offer the M-SAM (Cheongung Block II) to Malaysia as well.

Not sure because our ministry of defence is keeping it so confidential but according to the available sources we know not only Korean is trying selling their M-SAM to us but also Chinese with HQ-16, German with IRIS-T, Italian with CAMM, not sure is there gonna be more tender or what so we still gotta wait
