Would be a cool decal

Some additional info for ID stuff:

  • 24 M-346FA/FI (we already know this), but an option for +12 more units is also available

It is preparing to acquire 24 M-346 light fighter jets from Italy’s Leonardo, with an option for 12 more.
This purchase is doubled by another, for 24 PC-24 business jets from the Swiss Pilatus, also with an option for 12 more, for training purposes.

  • the M-346 will have the Q600 Grifo AESA radar (Grifo-E maybe) as well as an active Jammer DRFM (presumably the BriteCloud) which can work against pulse doppler radar

"Rumors about the M-346 appeared last December. They are confirmed.
It will be a particularly advanced version: AESA Q600 Grifo radar and electronic warfare suite with active jammer DRFM (which can decoy a radar by sending it ghost images)."

  • ESS FZ (UAE) is the one heading the deal. ESS is our number 1 broker for everything (the Turkish broker only gained some standings relatively recently). They’re the one responsible for obtaining it on behalf of the ID gov. They also do maintenance & training for it as well.

“At the heart of the deal is the company E-System Solution FZ, whose parent company was founded in the UAE a decade ago, and which has been operating in Indonesia for 5 years.”

“ESS will this time be responsible for acquiring the M-346 and PC-24 on behalf of the Indonesian government, and it will provide maintenance, training and support to the 2 fleets.”

  • ESS helped with the training of new ID pilots for the Rafale, J-10 & Su-30MK2s (J-10 mentioned again here)

“More recently, ESS has set up an Air Warfare Center, coupled with a center specializing in electronic warfare, and provided a training unit for pilots of the new Rafale, J-10E, and SU-30MK2 aircraft.”

  • Official announcement seems to be at the Singapore Air Show

“The official announcement seems imminent. The Singapore Air Show is due to open at the end of the week, which could be an opportunity for the Indonesian government.”

EDIT:

comment from the CEO of ESS in that post:

“Hello. Indonesians are known to sign MoUs that lead nowhere. The KF21 was launched by another government, and the current one is not very interested in renewing or buying equipment from this country for specific reasons. For Boeing, nothing will happen, also for budgetary reasons. There will be purchases in the US, but not for this type of equipment.”

Of course take it with a grain of salt, it could very well be just him not wanting to prop up rivaling companies

I hope this is the right thread, but it very much looks like f-15ex won’t happen with boeing stopping trying to push it.

Confirmed. Statement provided by Leonardo themselves

Excerpt

"At Singapore Airshow 2026, Leonardo announced the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) with PT ESystem Solutions Indonesia and the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Republic of Indonesia aimed at cooperating for the supply and support of the Leonardo M-346 F “Block 20” aircraft to meet Indonesian Air Force operational requirements. "

“The new M-346 F “Block 20” light fighter configuration standard will be equipped with cockpits featuring a Large Area Display (LAD), active electronically scanned radar, a Link 16 data-link, electronic countermeasures, and new weapons systems. Leonardo’s platform simultaneously offers a complete, integrated advanced flight training system - including a GBTS (Ground Based Training System), combined simulated elements and scenarios with real flights according to a Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) logic - with additional light combat capabilities for air-to-air and air-to-surface missions, enabled by advanced mission systems, equipment and sensors, also including aerial refuelling capability.”

M-346FI Block 20 version. Equipped with an AESA radar & Electronic CounterMeasure system. will be handled by ESS

seems that the original report is 100% correct

EDIT: HAHAHAHAHA ITS REAL, I DIDNT BELIEVE IT WAS BUT IT IS

After delays, 2 out of 6 airframe has been delivered via cargo, seems that with the possible new arrival of the M-346, the trainer role will be handed to that, whereas this could possibly be used as a dedicated fighter

Some photos of today’s highway landing trial of some Indonesian Air Force planes in Pematang Panggang–Kayuagung Toll Road, Lampung

Details
  • Super Tucano (1-3rd only touch and go, 4th attempt landed)
  • F-16C (same as the tucano, touch and go, then landed)
  • F-16C Taking off from the highway

Livestream:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPo8vUhhzss

based on the statement provided during the livestream it seems there will be a focus for toll roads to be used as impromptu runways. Technically not the first, since some parts of the Jagorawi tollroad near Jakarta was also designed as such

Check out how close the landing was to the cars on the road:

Edit:

with this we have 3 ID rafale airframes currently in the testing phase (2x Single-seater, 1x Dual-seat) presumably that means that the second batch to be delivered will be those three

EDIT2:

Anoa PK20 suggestion up! feel free to check it out!

btw the ID ground suggestion section is missing the Anoa PK20 (& technically the trialed Sabiex AMX-13 retrofit as well)

Since we (might get) got Indonesia in the Japanese tree I was looking around but we already got a su27 Indonesian skin in the USSR tree.

Surprised Gaijin did not copy past it in the Japanese tree

Okay that is where I heard it. I hope they invest more into ground when Thailand got added it felt really anemic as Thailand still has some low tier vehicles though I’m happy with the BTR. Also there are a few other Thai BTRs I think we can get.

Just the ATGM carrier variant with 4 R2s but no gun.

Indonesia had the BTR-4 though! With a similarly equipped combat module.

FV101 Scorpion my beloved

Hope it’s the upgraded fancy unit, the LRF would be funny with such a mid gun

The skin represented Indonesian Su-27SK, which is (iirc) basically just the same as basic Su-27 in-game. We could still get the Indonesian Su-27SKM, which has aerial refueling probe, R-77-1, better avionics, and maybe other stuff that I forgot.

It has a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun that would be useful for destroying walls and obstacles in the game.

confirmation that BrahMos is being purchased

https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/indonesia-says-it-has-entered-agreement-with-india-procure-brahmos-missiles-2026-03-09/?taid=69aea87614087e0001d00a79&utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=twitter

do note the quote above, rather than denying the plan to integrate brahmos for the flankers, they merely just said that it hasn’t been purchased yet,so now I think there is a real possibility of that happening
