and litening III

Confirmation from Swiderek Maciejka himself (the photographer who takes the Rafale photos) that the Rafales are going to Indonesia in 06:10 local time (~4 hours from now) from Istres.
To say im excited is an understatement
EDIT: Civil tracking is disabled, so we cant really update the journey. ~4h ago some mentioned it landed in Turkey, most likely staying there
EDIT 2: Rafale is currently on UAE’s Al Dhafra Air Base, most likely going to transit to India then to Indonesia
Why do I have a feeling the Philipines will be added to the Korean-tree?
Tbh It would make more sense that the Philippines would go to Korea than to Japan, historically wise there’s no denial
Due to them taking part in the Korean war right? They sent large amount of help all things considered.
Nah, i really don’t want to play another spitfire… It will be like the 20th or something. Also, the spitfire doesn’t really fit well within the Japanese TT IMHO. I’d much rather want it to be a premium, and let domestic Japanese WWII equipment fill out the lower ranks - with exception to unique and domestically build Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian WWII Aircraft.
This is why we need more techtree space.
I fully agree we need the many missing Japanese vehicles that there already isn’t enough space for.
But I also don’t agree with making more than 20% of any nations aircraft premium only, it’s simply not fair especially for nations like Thailand that don’t get represented outside of War Thunder much, if at all. Thailand shouldn’t just start randomly with the F-84 when they had an airforce as far back as WWI.
For the Spitfire there’s at least two different variants they could add, with the F Mk.XIVe and FR Mk.XIVe, so one can be premium here.
But for others where it’s not that easy I’d rather see them just not add these aircraft until the space for them is there than have them all end up locked behind a paywall forever. At least I have hopes for the rumored “research tree rework” to do something about it, nations shouldn’t compete for very limited techtree space. At the very least they should get their own space for their vehicles.
apparently its not clear whether it took off or not, so i dunno

Maybe not today but certainly at the end of the month for the longest, so like add in a week at most
You got any airport buddies around the flight path? They will need some gas.
I would like some props so these sub trees are not just all top tier
unfortunately I dunno anyone in SkUd12 or near Pekanbaru so i cant comment on it too much
According to publication by Pekanbaru Airbase, there will be strict OPSEC enforcement from the aircraft (supposed) arrival on 22 January (today) until the 24th.
Other source said a ceremony for official inauguration of the Rafale would be held at Jakarta-Halim Airbase on 25 January.
they better come with meteors because why would it be classified information otherwise
edit: apparently it had landed. But I havent seen any leaked photos yet, seems theyre taking it extra safe this time
I think is okay for 1 or 2 other countries TT WW2 added to the tree but the tree still gotta be Japan main
Hawk 209 Cockpit bug report
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/FZcWFwSyVtEV
this is probably the most erroneous mistake in the hawk 209 (other than the radar), so it would be extremely helpful for you guys to check it out
With infantry in game what kind of support vehicles do you think ASEAN could provide AKA armored bulldozers and the like?

An Indonesian media is saying the ceremony would be held on 29 January, apparently they wanted to wait for the President to return home first
I don’t think there was a “first landing” footage as well (could be wrong, hopefully)
lowkey kinda sad considering this is possibly THE BIGGEST technological upgrade the air force has ever gotten in the modern era, and yet we gotta wait cuz the head honcho wants to see it for himself
You think they will have cake there?
