So by 2060 every country’s jet fighter in inventory? FUN. Also why J10A, I don’t get it, unless they are buying them for performance or something. J10A as far as I know can’t use PL15 or any of the better CAS or any of the newer GPS stuff.
precisely my point, my guess is its a part of a combined arms deal similar to the additional Rafales (jets+ships+others) because otherwise it doesnt make sense.
but ‘not making sense’ seems to be our procurement motto, so who knows
China hasn’t produced any J10s though and AL31FNs haven’t been produced for ages, these would be out of service life pretty quickly.
Even in a deal it would be quite a price to pay.
further explanation on the J10
TLDR, originally it was just a rumor, then our chief of staff was offered the plane when they were visiting, now we’re most likely gonna evaluate the aircraft first before concluding on buying or not
So you guys dropped the KF-21 officially?
probably, but most likely we’ll just buy a short number rather than abandoning it completely since it would be a waste otherwise
But doesn’t explain the J10A purchase.
J-10A are just rumors
also forgot to mention, here are my current plans for suggestions (in case anyone is already working on it or something)
- Indonesian Naval subtree (active)
- Cavalier Mustang II (planning)
- Pandur II/cobra IFV & FSV (future, not 100%)
Naval was in development since ages ago but i reworked it like 5 times already and got sidetracked by the NBO105 suggestion as well. Now fully committing to finishing it.
these are for ones ive dropped
- F-16C block52ID
- SBS LT 20mm & MLRS
- Dutch East Indies Campaign Air RB maps (will probably revisit this in the future)
Additional note, IndoDefence is next week and some new stuff will most likely be showcased there, best believe i will note down all the new prototypes and the like when they’re shown
PH just signed the contract for extra FA-50s, probably Blk 20. Should get the same EL radar that’s found on the Kfir C.10 afaik, ofc AMRAAM integration also
Technically the Malaysian FA-50 Block 20s will arrive sooner, but yep the Philippine order is going to probably take until 2030 at most since thats when the contract expires.
Also an update.
Japan’s Diet has finally ratified into law the Japan-Philippine Reciprocal Access Agreement which marks the bilateral military cooperation of Japan & Philippines official. We can expect closer defense ties with the Japanese in the coming years as this relationship grows (as of right now, Japan has 2 other RAAs with UK and Australia respectively).
https://www.pna.gov.ph/articles/1251648
This also means Philippines has basically the same (well at least very close to it) argument that can be made to bring the Philippines as a subtree for Japan lol but eh, wait & see.
Japan Defence Minister Minoru Kihara, Japan Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Philippine Defence Minister Gilberto Teodoro, and Philippine Foreign Minister Enrique Manalo pose for a photo following signing of the reciprocal access agreement last 2024
probably not the best but certainly its very good, in terms of specifications it would be similar to the P-51D-30 we have ingame
i bear fantastic news
will update more as things are revealed

As a part of IndoDefence, Rosoboronexport (most likely on behalf of Russia) offers quite a lot of military equipment for Indonesia, namely:
Air Force
Su-57E
Su-35 Gen 4++
IL-78MK-90A tanker
Ka-52E
S-350E Vityaz and S-400 Triumf SAM system.
Pantsir-S1M
Army
Mi-17
Navy
Project 636 (Kilo-class)
K-300P Bastion Coastal SAM
Project 22160 Patrol Boat
Project 20380 Tigr Corvette
worth noting that these were only offers, just like the J10, nothing in concrete as of yet, although the Su-35 deal was rumored to have been completed, but who knows

Indo Defence 2025: Indonesia’s SSE reveals hybrid amphibious P8 light tank for agile island defense
18-27ish Memorandum of Understanding were signed in the opening day, we dont know all the details yet, most likely will be revealed in the near future.
in the mean time, KAAN = Confirmed, 48 units to be purchased ($2 Billion deal)
for KF-21 We might still buy a small amount, but yeah its more or less dead now
I wouldnt bet on it. Its still an MOU and Indonesia has had a history of MOUs and then losing interest later on like the Boeing MOU for 24 F-15EX or 12 Mirage 2000. I would personally wait until a Letter of Intent is signed before any confirmation is made.
yep we love MoUs, no consequences no requirement, we just say we want it and we might get it in the future. Su-35 deal for instance, been stuck in limbo for the past few years, and only recently we got a deal out of it (rumors). But its not losing interest thats the problem, its losing money.
the KF-21 we already invested money into it, not a lot but still noticeable amount, and im fairly certain we’re not gonna let that RnD cost go for nothing (domestic RnD for it kinda failed), unless of course the shitshow that went down throughout the development for the reason why we walk, which is quite plausible, and as I said before, even the longshot F-15EX is more plausible than the KF-21, and the F-15EX hasnt had an actual concrete news since the announcement lmao
Hopefully TNI-AU still purchases some KF-21 even if they do decide to go with the KAAN, and tbf if the KAAN is successful, its a pretty good platform without any of the strings attached like with the KF-21 so I do kinda get the point why Indonesia would do this.
Video posted by Squadron 103 official facebook page, callsign “Lightning”, prepares for air operations to safeguard national sovereignty.
Royal Thai Airforce F-16 aircraft equipped with KGGB glide bombs (Korean GPS-Guided Bomb).
Maybe all Thai aircraft can equip the KGGB, since even this older F-16B seems to be able to carry it.
Bonus
I think it’s even more interesting than that, because it seems to be the only Thai F-16B ADF specifically.
