what he said. but basically that. NK should not be a subtree or even a nation in-game beyond F-6. CN will get so many good stuff with Pakistan and Bangladesh instead.

I suppose, but then that argument ties in to politics, and that gets messy. And even if you use politics as an argument, Id say that in the past couple of years Japan and South Korea relationship has been building quite nicely. Also USA has and alliance with Japan as well, so does that mean Japan should be a sub TT for the US to.😂

imo its a dead tree. there’s nothing there and what they got in the tree already exist in Russian tree already.
They should either be added into a United Korea tech tree, or North Korea under China and South Korea under USA.

The best option would be as an independent, unified Korean tree, obviously. I’m just suggesting the next best alternative for people who don’t like that option. In any case, Japan is not an option

The Japanese sure haven’t heard of admitting fault, and have paid no reparations. There is no forgiveness without an apology in the first place; imagine if the Germans today denied the Holocaust, glorified the Nazi military, and taught in schools that they were the victim in WW2. This is exactly what is happening in that favorite country of yours.

Who would have guess, a nation that just invaded another country just a century ago, colonised it, slaughtered people and committed war crimes, then after the war ended, barely apologised, consistently deny war crimes, pretended nothing happened, worshipped war criminals in shrines and pretended to be the victims whenever the topic is brought up.
Yeah, i don’t think people forgive this kind of action that easily.
Do you see Polish people raging against Germany as much? or do you see Hong Kong people hate the British colonisers as much?

They did in 1965, they just framed it as economic cooperation.
What South Korea ‘was’ still trying to get, is for Japanese companies to pay for the forced labor to the families, but companies are a bit less compliant.
And in 2023 they finally finished this dispute so that they can move forward.
So today (in 2025), south Korea and Japan have begun joint military exercises together.
Edit: also Japan wasn’t obligated to pay further reparations after 1965, but South Korea kept insisting.
