İ do admire Russian aircrafts and their missile technologly (such as R-73 or R27ER in this case) but saying Us should have done better job in the past is kinda overreacting.

The MiG-29’s high speed performance, turn rate (although in a prolonged rate fight the F-16 had an advantage), HMD and R-73 is what scared them, it wasn’t only the missile.
