Not all must be equal, but the sum of all things is easier to balance and can be made pretty near equal.
A complete lineup of any nation should include several MBTs, an SPAA, a light tank or IFV, a helicopter, and another CAS aircraft. If one nation has an advantage in SPAA, it’s possible to balance the other with better CAS. But Gaijin doesn’t do that. Instead, Russia currently holds both the best SPAA, and the best CAS. Therefore a more powerful SPAA for other nations is warranted.
The Flarakarakrad and Ito-90M may be better than Tunguska, I don’t know. Haven’t played either. But it’s okay for the Tunguska to have lower missile performance since it has guns which allow it to double as a tank killer as well. Whatever the disparity was, the Tunguska still had very powerful missiles.
Gaijin could simply shadow buff the Tunguska like it usually does, but it instead chose the Pantsir. In doing so, they’ve opened the Pandora’s box. Now they have to add equivalents for other nations, which was already very difficult even before the Pantsir. They’ve forced themselves into a corner where if they wish to avoid having a shitty game, they have to give other nations SPAA that is, as history dictates, are more powerful than the Pantsir. And it’s fine, because I’m sure something like the Spyder is even weaker than Pantsir.
Why? Because the Pantsir has guns, which the Spyder lacks + both have similar range on their missiles but the Python 5s can be flared + Pantsir’s missiles hardly ever miss, and it has a larger quantity of missiles to begin with.
Russia doesnt have the best cas in my opinion, the f14b is better than the mig27, and i see what you are saying and tbh if they didnt do the SAM changes the tunguska wouldve still been fine
All Hungarian KF41s produced are equipped with StrikeShield APS integrated in the additional armor on the sides of the hull
This is gaijin’s discrimination against Italy
I don’t care if it will be an unpopular opinion. What I care is being objective. I welcome the new mechanics and effects, some of them are really interesting and will change the game experience for good. But on the other end i’m utterly appalled and somewhat disgusted by how casually the playerbase (at least most of the vocal one) don’t care about the fact that adding random nations and vehicles as subtrees means only the complete destruction of what made War Thunder what it is: specific playstyle based on specific nation military doctrine and vehicle’s design. Gaijin is a company so I expect them to implement the most lucrative solution. What I do not expect (at least ideally) is the absolute narrow-minded attitude of players who cares only about how intensively their national taste is satisfied (IT’S A FRAKING GAME!!! I DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT NATIONALISM WHEN I PLAY A FRAKING GAME!!!) even if it’s implementation makes no sense or if it carries as a consequence the destruction of the game’s uniqueness. Hungary has nothing to do with Italy. The T-90S has nothing to do with the UK, the Hunter has nothing to do with Germany, Finland as far as what has been implemented has nothing to do with Sweden. I’m sick and tired of reading post made by people who complains about thing like “uh but Italy at top tier sucks!” or something like this…NOBODY ON EARTH IS FORCING YOU TO PLAY THAT NATION AT THAT TIER FFS!!! If you want to play it then you do knowing that what they have is what you get. What is the whole point of playing Italy if you are going to use a Mig-21 or a T-72??? For What this game is all about there are some nation who have a stronger, diverse and flexible tech three (like in the real life)…others, like Italy do not and at certain tiers they are doomed to be the underdogs. DEAL WITH IT!!!
Oh, by the way, I’m Italian…
it never mattered because in the end it’s more important to balance the vehicles that’s why I still have vehicles that are just different from their real version , and the heathens still do not have 360 degree aps system and the arena is as far as I know the only one and working but probably in small numbers which is not surprising because aps systems are for some reason only now being installed en masse (plust tests can be seen on YouTube)
Depending on how they change the rotations, if the highest tier is still 11.7-12.0(now 12.3) it wont change anything but if we get a tier where 11.7 isnt in the same tier as 12.0 no matter what it is a BIG BIG difference for any 11.7 aircraft and makes them way more viable
Soviet vehicles are already incredibly strong vs APFSDS, so now you want to make them strong against ATGMs which are much less prolific in WT?
Arena, I repeat:
Was never deployed in combat.
Was never produced.
Was never finished.
So neither historically, nor from a gameplay standpoint, should it exist in game. If you think it should exist, I’ve got a ton of things western AFVs historically have but aren’t in game.
Yep… Tornado Gr1 and Harrier Gr7 are already hard to play in those brakcets. and Torando F3 needs to go down to 11.3. Its unplayable at 11.7. But at least the Sea Harrier is finally playable. So I can hide in EC8 and avoid the soviet bias
