Personally, i’d have given them a South Korean or ally nations aircraft they closely work with to fill the gap.
F-16AJ is fine though. Its not OP or anything, just not realistic.
Japan ultimately didnt have a ton of variety.
Maybe F-15 with AIM7s?

Hey Smin! The IJN Chikugo has a mounted pod for guided torpedo’s. Can we expect guided torpedo’s in the near future? The IJN Chikugo has these pods for a long time now, and i’m wondering when we will see it. 😅

December will bring the remaining 4 and 4+ gen fighters that’re missing in game that’re desperately needed.
Gripen, Possibly Eurofighter, AMRAAMs, etc.
QandA already confirmed Sweden and UK are getting a new top tier fighter before the end of the year

I don’t expect Eurofighter Typhoon this year, Eurofighter Typhoon FA2 & Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 Block 5 better JAS 39 Gripen A & Gripen C (PS-05/A Mk.3 radar)
I guess multirole fighter aircraft for great britain tech tree this year maybe BAE Hawk 200 (RAF) or Gripen C (SAAF)

Mark my words, we’ll see AMRAAM this year for sure. Top tier will jump to 13.0 or higher, More 4+ gen fighters.
Gripen is confirmed and a top tier british fighter too. There’s not alot Britain can get for A2A capability for top tier akin to an F16C or Gripen
It took over 9 months for it to go from 12.0 to our first 12.3 aircraft ignoring decompression. I wouldn’t be surprised if December just filled out the current 12.3 roster with aircraft like the Gripen and F-15.
There is a slim chance we see something like an SU-27 at 12.7 but 13.0 is a ways off now.

As much as id love a typhoon, i doubt this year. Tornado F3 CSP and Sea Harrier FA2 gives us AMRAAM.
With all the work done on the FRS1 i fully expect FA2 to be that next jet for britain.
But i do see a typhoon within the first half of next year, depending on what they add to other nations. F-15 update could include Typhoon
2 of the 3 camos you posted are only realistic for the “late” squadron FRS.1 though. There’s a ticket about how the squadron Harrier has a non-historic camo now and should be changed to that kind of paint scheme instead of the 1978-1982 camo it has currently. It has been forwarded to the devs as a suggestion.
The three paint schemes applied to the “early” FRS.1 (i.e. before August 1982 when they got 4x sidewinders) were the dark grey/blue and white one you posted first and is currently ingame for both Sea Harriers. A second one where the white parts were simply painted over with the dark grey/blue and have the same large roundels and a two-tone light grey camo with low vis roundels
I can see FA2 coming with AIM-7s potentially, but if it does come with AMRAAMs it doesn’t move Britain any closer to top tier as everyone else gets them on their much better jets.
It would be interesting to get an Apex Predators Pt.2 with the F-15, SU-27 and Typhoon, but I’m pretty doubtful it will actually happen.
Certainly wont be meta, but unlike the F3, you may be able to survive a WVR encounter. But i think it would be a lot more fun in a brawl. Also has one hell of a radar

While I think Sea Harrier FA.2 would be good, its not got the wings of GR.7 so it’d still just be FRS.1 with AMRAAM.
More realistic would be Tornado CSP (Not a great plane), Eurofighter DA.2 (Prototype development jet is eh), CF-18 (The most likely I think), TES Tejas (Would seem a bit weird to have india come out of nowhere with its first and only TT be the best the UK tree has to offer, but its a cool jet), BAe Hawk 200 or Gripen C is also as likely.
I really hope they dont resort to commonwealth jets from india. Would be horrifically messy
