Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 2)

And add the Aim-9M as a “counter” to the R-73.

because youre using date of introduction as a way to say what should and shouldnt ve in game, fix your way of comparing stuff first then ask

Forgot about that, edited the text. I just hope we will have them before Rafale is added.

so is it possible that the leopard 2 PSO will get Dtech? This vehicle is an insult to the community in its current state. It’s not the upgrade we’ve been asking for, and it’s nowhere near to being equal to the strv 122B, a tank that was added over a year ago. Why is it so hard to make germany equal to sweden when it comes to leopards, there were so many options to add that would put them 1:1.

and what wrong with it?
when R-73 and AIM-9M are almost the same years why Russia can have it and other can’t?

We plan to introduce 12.3 for the MiG-29SMT and F-16C at the least. Possibly more may move, but for certain these aircraft will receive this BR.

W for once

Probably because the R-73 we are seemignly getting will effectively be a longer ranged more maneuverable R-60 that will still get one flared. While AIM-9M would only make sense if it’s main feature IRCCM actually was added. Magic 2 also seems to be quite lacking in that department and if some statement sare to be believed lacks some g-load capacity as well.

Finally some good news

Is there a particular reason why R-73 is withheld from MiG-29A? Is it the same with R-27ET?
It would make mroe sense to reserve the 1990 ER and ET for the SMT but give the 80s R-73 to the MiG-29A in the German and Russian tech tree.

You are arguing with Volxar. The only right argument according to him is the one where Russia benefits the most.

Everything else is wrong.

The German one never had ER.
I think keeping the ER and ET for the SMT for now would be the best for everyone as long as the R-73 is added to them as it is the missile the aircraft and this variant in particular has been famous for.
Sensible for balance as well.

Then how the hell US get R73 for test from Germany?

Could you try reading more into the context of what was being talked about a few hours ago?

People were saying the AIM-9L is becoming a bad missile because somehow a better missile like the R-73 invalidates it, simply because it’s better. In my opinion that isn’t correct to say. That’s where I stepped in and expressed that symmetrical balance doesn’t exist and it can be assymetrical but still work well, and I expressed no opposition towards new and better missiles for the US.

I applied the same argument to that comment on the R-27ER. It’s better than the AIM-7M. What are you going to do about it? The US didn’t bolster more efforts into the AIM-7 as the AMRAAM came. One is better than the other, they aren’t perfectly matched, but the AIM-7M is still quite decent.

If you want newer missiles for them then be my guest. I’d love to try them out and for me it makes almost no difference which nation gets what since I have every tree fully researched since 2016 I have no heavy bias towards any nation since I can and enjoy all of them. My only gripe is when people oppose these new additions because “they’re too good”, they can’t see that symmetrical balance doesn’t exist, but then they end up getting used to the new standard anyway. It’s always been like that.
