At this point, I dont think SkyTrash will get fixed, but deleted and repalced with AMRAAM. So we’ll have to suffer until then
Radars are not nerfed, they are modeled in the most accurate way they currently can muster.
And currently they’re more powerful than they were previously, which is pretty good for their universal code that’s a year old currently.
With that said, there is more that can be done, and they are developing improvements to their systems all the time. Radar can only get better.
It’s a she and she’ll be exposed to enough military and aviation history so no worries. Looking forward to see which her first favourite aircraft will be.

Unfortuantely, you are probably right, its just game limitation. But I think its got WAY too many issues currently and I fear they are jumping to quickly into Fox 3. Foxhunter and Blue Vixen for example should auto-swap modes depending on target aspect. that was a feature thats not been modelled yet and probably wont ever be for example
I am expecting that. However if it lacks any CW illuminator It must not receive the Sparrow. GJ has stated in writing to customers that they removed the J8F SARHs for the same reason after it was already advertised with radar missiles.
I say we press GJ if the there is any technical impossibility that we may get the AMRAAM at a quicker rate. Or admit they do not know what they are doing and slap aircraft together last minute without competence and wait for the community to make the correction.

Yeah, I totally agree… Though I still think there is chance they are going to pull a “psych, it’s actually getting AMRAAM, we were just waiting to surprise everyone”. At least I really hope they do. I want Sea Harrier FA2 this update, we’ve had nothing for coming up to a year
(also I had a further thought, the J8-F was going to be quite a while with no BVRAAM. F-16 might only be a month or 2. so times frame, maybe they didnt feel like saying it/worrying about it as much)
You dont need a CW illuminator to Guide sparrows AIM-7F and later they can guide off Pulse doppler illumination

In the thunder of war, the factor that affects radar locking is the network. The lower your latency and packet loss, the closer the radar performance is to the original data！
A sparrow is guided by CONTINUOS WAVE illimitation. NOT PULSE or ANY PULSE. Can you launch sparrow with in TWS? can you launch sparrow in pulse?
No because the radar is not emitting a continuous wave of microwave. Only when you decide to lock that target the radar switches to CW.
Any time you lock a fighter in the current generation fighter except the J8F. Your radar switches to CONTINUOS WAVE ILLUMINATION whether the radar is using the Doppler effect IS IRRELEVANT. When you lock the target the Radar stops pulsing and focuses all microwave emissions at the target. This is how older radars lock targets by focusing a CONTINUOUS WAVE of microwaves.

While aspides require CW illumination AIM-7F/M/MH/P can do both CW illumination or Pulse Doppler illumination and no switch to CW is necessary the F-14 and F-18 are known to use these modes

Well, not sure what part of the world your living in, but for me I think it’s very possible that we should see a trailer sometime tomorrow( Probably around 12 hours from now) so just keep an eye out around then as sometimes they can drop a teaser pretty late.
Usually around late morning CEST (GMT+2) I think normally. Right?

I live in the central US and usually I’ve seen trailers drop anywhere between 10:00am(close to this usually) and even 2:00pm

I would hope the community realizes Gaijin has a history if introducing vehicles and then patching in their weapons. The F-16C Blk50 has a place, and we do not even know what else is coming.
Sit, wait, and get hyped for the teaser tommorow and devserver this weekend.

I lived in China and…yes, we mostly get teaser at the midnight, around 11:30 P.M. or even the next day morning, like 3:30 A.M… I would say 12h from now is reasonable.

Then you literally proceed to provide evidence that YOU DO but only certain fighters can do without CW such as the F-15A & F-18 and special concepts in design.
You stated that the missile itself can guide on any PD alone and you literally defeated your own argument by posting that NO. Certain aircraft can such as the F-15 and those that adopted that concept like the F-18
Are those F-16??? Do they have the same radars??? You are undeniably wrong in you claim that the Aim7F and later can guide completely without CW illuminator to support it.
