When you’ve had nothing vialbe to play for over a year top tier, then I think im well within my right to be pissed that a nation taht has gotten not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 highly capable top tier jets in the past year is now getting a 5th.
It’s also 100% a thing, Mig-29s and F-16s and a little bit F-14s are the only things viable top tier. If you dont have those 3, you are not viable top tier, this leaves Britain, France and Sweden out in the cold
Britain had many opportunities IRL to buy good aircraft between F-4 & Eurofighter but chose not to.
You forgot Mirage 2000, which has better mid & high altitude performance than Mig-29.
Yeah the mirage 2000 is a solid airframe but it’s not quite there and yeah the armament is lacking in total amount. We don’t know if the Gripen is coming this patch though all we know is it’s coming and we don’t know variant of it. Britain is a harder one to implement because you either intentionally make a typhoon worse just so it fits within the game or implement it accurately and break the game. Alternative is commonwealth aircraft or the British owned/loaned Gripen D from Saab.
We could get F3 upgrades, We could get Hawk 200, we could Sea Harrier FA2. All 3 100% be enough to at least keep us in the fight. Its entirely possible that we get any of those this update, but after the F-16 announement I think its unlikely and we’ll have to wait till decemeber.
That is also not including Tornado Gr4 or Harrier Gr9 with better laodouts or any number of commonwealth additions as well. But I personally dont think we are far off the point where a “handicapped” EF Typhoon DA2 would be all that bad
Dont get me wrong, Hawk 200 or Sea Harrier FA2 would still be underdogs, but I think both would be better suited for turn fights and both would actually be fun to fly and fight in, where F3, even with 9M and AMRAAM (and it would need both) would still be just a bit boring in my opinion.

All I’m saying is at this point every nation needs to be on a equal footing in AIR before pushing forward.
Like do we really need a F-16C or 29SMT right now? The current F-16A and 29 suffering that badly gaijin thinks time for another?
I think the better choice would of been to bring the other nations upto a equal footing that we’re lacking and being better CAS to the nations that lack it. Something like a Su24 for Russia and tech tree versions of the A6 for US etc
CAS being the one area britain excels at in top tier imo it’s probably the nations with the best CAS from my experience nothing quite like smacking pantsirs from 18km away with PGM ))
Yeah, its the one thing that Britain can do at the moment (though I personally still think PGMs need some polish) But in ARB/ASB, they are kinda boring at hte moment.
I mean not got a point as we not only haven’t had a dev server but not even a trailer.
But even then the trailer will just focus on one Russian BS thing.

Russian bias and Bussian rias are myths. The only bias in the game is obviously Italiano biaso.
Those cunning italians have the most modern mbt in the game. The shortest grind in basically every branch. Even statistics tells their vehicles are most biased.

If I remember correctly, on the F14, F15 and F18 AIM7 can use PD illuminate to provide guidance, but this requires HPRF. The F16C Block50’s APG68 radar provides HPRF functionality only in VSR mode.
