Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

and if we get Meteor, then the Typhoon can fire and almost get a guaranteed kill (or at least force the opponent to go massively on the defensive) out to what 75km? THe most advanced R-77 is barely 40km. If i recall correctly.

Personally i prefer the Python 5 with DL + LOAL so you can fire off a Fox2s using TWS from 40km out and hit them without ever triggering their RWR

Yeah the no escape zone on meteor is nearly twice the range of the latest R-77

This is how ERs feel like

You can do the same with ASRAAM but from even further away ))

It would have been fun for the mld players indeed

Yo, look what I found it in the grandfather basement.

Oh great

Torando F3 with the Type W radar (what we had before hte last major update) is about equal to the mig-23MLD I reckon.

isnt this shitty missile already in game

AA-11 is the R-73, but the R-73 is a WIP.

Was referring to the asraam. Pretty sure some premium harrier has it

Yeah the AA-11 is R-73 but the one in this is the R-73M which is still outclassed by ASRAAM in every engagement envelope I don’t think people realise what’s going to happen with the like of ASRAAM and MICA make the way into the game. They are BVR capable IR missiles

Lmao no just no 😂😂

there is ASRAAM and SRAAM. We have SRAAM. It’s not very well modeled at the moment, but hopefully getting a major buff, at the moments its 0.8km rear aspect, with 40G pull and no flare resistance at all. (also very buggy)

Should be 2km and all aspect (with 40G pull and hopefully some guidance fixes, been broken for a year) still would have no resistance to flares however.

SRAAM currently on Harrier Gr1 (premium) and Hunter F6, but could and probably should also go on the Jagaurs (and maybe even Phantoms and Tornados technically)

That’s explains a lot. I got them mixed up. Also that british missile was anything but bugged when it was released on the premium. Every shitter had 4 kills every game, the horrors. Now they stopped getting shekels so they forgot it even exists

It’s always had placeholder stats because the performance wasn’t know . We recently came across documents mentioning it should be all aspect have more range and such etc

Yeah, I have no doubt it was strong when CMs were rare. but the aerodynamics update to AAMs, what about a year ago? totally broke the misisle. I dont think they ever updated it. So it just over-compensates and does crazy flight paths, which means it can straight up miss a target these days.

Some more info on them though was found recently, which is where the hopeful buffs come from.

F-2 is Block 60 equivalent, and still slightly better.

@Volxar @Morvran
There hasn’t been Mig-29 or F-16 dominance, things have been fairly equal.

I agree it’s been equal between the F-16 and MiG-29 but for nations without those aircraft or aircraft of similar performance it’s been fairly dire. France, britain and Sweden being those nations.
