Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

red alert loved that game

Hoping we get devblog tomorrow so we’ll get too see if the leak list is legit or not. Also what h as the devblog is a boat

imagine the next dev being sth predictable/ confirmed like british t90s or Leo pso xD

God yeah, something with plausible deniability that would have most people like, “well it was such an easy guess for the leak list so we still don’t know”

MiG-29SMT, Super Etendard and MIM-72 is what I’m personally hoping for

If a Korean opposes the Korean subtree: he becomes a political/nationalist.
If a non-Korean person opposes the Korean subtree: he will be given the excuse that he cannot represent this topic because he is not Korean.

It is the best dogfighter at speeds under 750kph, there’s a big difference, yes, in a sustained 1v1 fight where there are no interruptions and your opponent chooses to engage and go slow, you will win, that isn’t feasible in air rb. The F-16 needs to be able to win high speed engagements to be meta, which is is currently not amazing at, I’d like the aoa limiter, however it’s modelled, to be removed so it can pull similarly unrealistic ammounts of G’s to other aircraft, otherwise there’s no reason to run it.

There is no AOA limiter as someone previously stated.
There’s no AOA limiter to remove.
You don’t need more than 9Gs in high speed engagements if you’re goal is in & out.
And no, it’s 550 - 900kph.

It’s a rumor. The F-16 is practically incapable of such maneuvers. The Engineers didn’t care, because they knew real pilots couldn’t do those maneuvers like this game.

Think of propeller aircraft becoming less responsive at high speeds. Again, this is not an “artificial” limitation.

Well, the previous statement is false, there is an AOA limiter modelled on the aircraft. And the F-16 cannot pull into non-limited aircraft, your main amament will be your two sparrows, aim 9L, or pythons depending on variant, if your opponent is aware, those can be easily defeated.

The F16 model is great, however I do believe the pilot should be able to withstand Gs’ a little longer than average due the seat that is proven to assist in blood flow back up to the brain. oh well.

No, there is a G-limiter on the aircraft, which there is no override for.
This isn’t F-18 with a paddle.
Or Mitsubishi F-2 with a switch.

Whatever the terminology may be, the aircraft being locked up at high speeds being outturned by Phantoms singlehandedly makes it bad at 12.0, if ther Mig 29 were to receieve the R-73 I’d like to see the F-16 be able to pull an unrealistic amount of Gs like most jets in game.

Or this:

At present, in the game, the overload limit can be relieved by adjusting the elevator in the overall operation mode. After my test, F16 is not suitable for pulling down 12G at high speed for more than 2-3 seconds, and the wing will break; If it exceeds 13G at high speed, it will directly fracture; 11G is the safest long-term overload, but your expert pilot will almost faint directly; So I don’t think it’s necessary to completely remove it, just change the current maximum overload limit of 10G to, or even eliminate the need to remove the limiter, it’s just protecting your aircraft within a stable and safe range;Otherwise, when FA18 is added to the game, you will experience even more pain, such as FA18 limiting 6G overload at 500 knots

You are correct. The jet is designed purely under the energy maneuverability theory, and it should be the best turn fighter at high speeds.
However, it actually is, though I think it should be a little better. The fact remains no fighter can maintain high speeds in a rate quite like the F16. Especially in a climb.

As for the Phantom reference. That is because the Phantoms are overpowered in alpha. They never took the alpha down after a buff from long ago. All phantoms pull way too much immediate high alpha at all speeds. That is why they can pull quick snapshot on F16s and Mig29s at close range with the M61 in the initial turn.

The phantom is the issue there, not the F-16.

Someone talked about SK subtree for Japan having a “leak” [sic]. Was there a leak? Any mention/hint/leak/datamine?

Not trying to re-open that can of political worms, just seeing if there was something else leading up to it other than people mentioning the idea out of nowhere.

I’m neutral on the subject but can find understanding for both sides.

There was nothing like that.
As always, it’s just a wishlist by ‘reasonable people who don’t care about politics’.

Also not wanting to step on any toes in the political debate. There was, albeit admittedly a terrible quality, picture “leak” of Korean vehicles in the Japanese ground tree that started this debate.

There was a “leak”, but then @Smin1080p said it’s fake.
