I can only speak about air trees but as I said Japan and Italy need one going forward but then after the Gripen so will Sweden, Israel does not need an air sub tree at all.
The other reason Sweden got one early compared to Japan and Italy is likely that Finland was much easier to implement being entirely preexisting aircraft and with no political issues over the connection, Korea and Japan as I understand it do not get along much at all so while it works geographically it does not politically, and Italy has the issue of picking which nation to sub tree with Spain, Greece, and Turkey all being pretty reasonable options while at the same time all of them could reasonably have their own full tree or at least be part of a different tree whereas Finland couldn’t really go with anywhere else and doesn’t have enough for a full TT
you say that but do you have data to back it up because the reasonable assumption would be that Japan as one of the original nations would actually be significantly more popular that Sweden in game, it sounds to me like you have actually just manufactured a critique and cherry picked a data point to fit it.
imo it 's most likely Hungary, due to the developer comments abt plans for that nation. Though it could also include Romania and Bulgaria, through the " minor axis " content deployment rule in place since the introduction of the ITA air tree.
Man, I cannot wait for the foldering up of all the trees, that means they can add so many more variants of planes into those folders while, with research cost reductions, making them easily accessible!
Hoo boi, I know people want to see shiny new tech but this already makes the patch huge for me.
Maybe you’re new around here. Do you really think that Japan is more popular than Sweden? I’ll tell you a secret, Italy and Japan have been neglected for years. Gaijin’s excuse is that they don’t pay the bill. But they never will if they don’t receive their own vehicles. The Italian naval tree was an insult for years and the Italian helicopter tree doesn’t even qualify as one. It took years for the Japanese helicopter tree to receive the four C&Ps it got. The Japanese naval tree received a lot of love, do you know why? because it pays the bills.
Lesson, do not start new nations, because if they do not pay the bills, they will be forgotten.
i am worried a bit about all the vehicles they wanna raise their tier, as a result the rp of those rises as well and a lot of those arent foldered into sth, very likely the overall necesary rp of a tech tree goes down, but i think that tier change for some vehicles wasnt necesary
I mean there has always been favoritism among the trees, USA gets priority on aircraft and Germany and Russia always got preferential treatment for tanks, I imagine the same holds true for other trees, Japan likely got a focus on air and then navy when that came out, Sweden doesn’t even have a navy and their air tree has always been limited so they get preferential treatment on the ground to make up, Italy was the laughing stock of WWII and didn’t do much better after so it pretty rightfully doesn’t get much anywhere, Israel on the other hand seems to get everything all at once and then nothing for ages, that’s why their ground tree is just Magachs, however their air tree is decent and only stands to get better from now on, with Israeli F-15s, F-16s, and F-35s all being marginally better than their US counterparts.
That would be nice for me, I play different nations but Italy remains my favorite one, it’s probably a similar feeling to the one of football fans with their favorite team. That’s really sad for me that many players don’t even try Italy, I hope subtree will attract new players and people who stopped to play it because of a lack of setups or some other problems.
Fair enough, though I’m sure part of it is that Germany is one of the original nations and like Japan, doesn’t have all that much left to be added, I’m sure sub trees are coming it’s just it looks kinda bad adding a 6th tree to Germany when other nations are still on 3 or 4
ehhh, that is the thing germany still has quite a lot to be added in ground, multitude of light, mbts, dozens of old russian stuffs, honestly for ground germany is in aboslutely no need for sub trees, honestly just vanity and jokes that it should get sub tree stuff (polish K2 Black panther is my wish to gather all panthers in one tree). But it is just sad that even with those many additons top tier of germany got neglected like this
No, you’re implying that by arguing that Swiss shouldn’t be added BECAUSE of your subjective reason.
I’m saying Swiss should be added to Germany because it’s better than them not being in the game at all, and Germany makes sense.
As if saying that “they make sense for Germany” isn’t subjective itself.
Frankly, I think adding Switzerland to Germany makes next to no sense.
Switzerland has been an independent and neutral entity for the whole time period that is relevant to War Thunder.
Switzerland also had a domestic air and ground industry, which would be able to get added to the game by the standards we have seen in already present nations.
Switzerland has a linguistic connection to Germany, but also has one to France and Italy. Even if you were to argue that it should go into another nation rather than not being added at all, then saying it should be added to Germany is about the least sensible when compared to the needs of France or Italy (though France could easily sustain itself too and Italy has more sensible sub-tree options than Switzerland.
Switzerland may have bought some equipment from Germany, but they also bought equipment from France, UK and USA, so this isn’t a great argument for adding them to Germany either.
These are some reasons I say that you aren’t right to assume that adding them to Germany is the objectively sensible option rather than them being an opinion of your own, especially after we consider the backlash Gaijin received for adding the Swiss Hunter to Germany.
