Gaijin added F-16AJ cause there was nothing else to add besides F-15J and F-2 Viper Zero.
Since both of these airplanes are superior to any kind of plane in this game they decided to take this route as a simple solution (even tho it wasnt the smartest one).
On the other hand Germany have more options to fill those gaps with actual planes.
What you’re trying is basically to get access to Usa’s best 4th Gen fighter jet without grinding Usa tree.

m109a3 is an sph but it wasn’t used by the US only Germany, UK and Italy
@Volxar M109a3 was only used by european nations. That’s the reason I think it’s fake. Seems like there are way to many american vehicles in this list aswell. Last patch a similar list with 9 american list was posted aswell. I think this list is just luck and more of a wishlist
South Africa has a good amount to give the UK air wise.
For example - The british made a HUGE leap from the Tornado platform (GR.1 to GR.4) to Eurofighter.
British aerospace has always done these weird HUGE LEAP followed by stagnation since the 50s.
For example, they continued using the piston driven Lancaster bomber long after the wars end, only to replace it with the cutting edge Avro Vulcan.
From quad prop piston bomber to quad flying wing, computer integrated jet strategic bomber. Massive leap.
It hurts them in WT though because of how we need increments. If they intend to add Gripen this year - UK could get that, on account of SAAF.
Same with things like Buccaneer S2B
The phantom platform is by no means bad. It’s still rather fast and somewhat agile.
Of course there are other faster and more agile planes in different trees, but does that matter when you’re swinging Fox-3’s at 20km?
The F-16AJ set a sad precedent.
I kept saying that instead of the paper plan F-16AJ, we should implement the limited missile XF-2A, or the Sparrow-XF-16A that “watched” test flights in the United States.
(Caution! JASDF is not on board the XF-16A)
I have obtained the materials that GD sold to Japan, so I am convinced that it is true that something similar to AJ was “proposed”, but there was no realistic plan to introduce it, and the actual machine because it didn’t exist.
Ah, changing the subject, the JASDFs are conducting test flights for the F-14A, including the AGM-54! The Su-27 is also conducting test flights on Russian soil! Mr. Gaijin! Why not implement it! ? XD
If you don’t care then why are you clutching at every warped excuse under the sun to justify putting fictional/foreign operated vehicles in the German tree?
The F-4F ICE was Germany’s closest answer to the F-15, so that’s all they get until the Typhoon arrives… too freaking bad. Italy needed to struggle along with the F-104S for years, why all of a sudden do we need to break with historical precedent by adding things that never existed?
The UK is operating a bomber platform and a strike fighter as their best A2A aircraft right now. The Tornado F.3 can’t compete with anything at that BR beyond SU-25s. The SuperTEMP simply isn’t that good, you can’t dogfight in it as the 104 handles better.
They need some kind of A2A fighter.
This could come in the shape of:
BAe Hawk, Eurofighter DA.2, SAAF Gripen, SAAF Cheetah, Sea Harrier FA.2 OR some commonwealth F18 like RAAF
But if having a 4th Gen fighter is so important then for one why doesn’t Sweden have one?
And two, surely that makes the F-4F ICE even more of bad deal for Germany, imagine being the only country who doesn’t have a 4th Gen Fox3 fighter, surely Gaijin wouldn’t retcon a jet into the German lineup that is both 4th Gen and Fox3 capable even though it is entirely ahistorical, that would be absurd right?
We already have swiss vehicles in the German tree so there is a precedent for something like this to happen. Not saying it should happen, but it’s a real possibility
Alternatively a premium/squadron/event hornet could be put in the us tree, as in the case of the M1AIM
It wasn’t us that created this precedent it was Gaijin by adding the F-16AJ, you can argue all you want but the precedent is set and it seems absurd that only Japan would get special treatment, if it happened to Japan it can happen to Germany whether you like it or not.
I was refering to the leo PSO and the Leo 2a7 here
A T 90 S premium would also be somewhat unlikely
They just mentioned in the tech tree changes blog that they do not want to add top of the line premiums. A premium T 90 would defeat the purpose of grinding thorugh all of those T 72s, to get to the famous T 90
(That is the same reason for why we porpably will not get a premium F 14 for a long time.)
You do realize unless gaijin adds Danish-16 or Finland F-18 (which one of them should have come instead of adding another Viggen) Gripen is the only choice they can get.
On the other hand Germany has access to Mig-29 and will get access to F4F İCE and Eurofighter Typhoon.
Your logic still doesnt make sense for adding F-15 to Germany.
