Something Needs to be Done about people flying into the ground to avoid being killed

what are you talking about hurting innocents and abused by a game you need help…

bahahahahahahahaha

how is it asking for a participation award and a me problem if my missile is about to hit someone and instead of taking the L they fly into the ground that makes no sense there champ

I don’t suppose much can be done but I can see why it’s annoying. The only consolation is you took an opposite team member out if team play is your thing.
Really ,the proximity kill award is a pain in the arse. Just makes a mockery of the game worse than the voluntary death.

Theres a fine line between making a mistake, and some dude that cant shake you ploughing into the ground at 900 kmph.

but as been stated impossible system to implement as the distinction for an automatic system is difficult.
Unless it reads the imputs from the player?

based on what psychology?

Im sorry reading your earlier “example” there was no reference to any studies, nor factual psychological points on how adding a system that prevents people from throwing the match would cause further stress or duress?

As of right now, in 3 games ive had 4 people do it.

Yesterday there was about 10 people in 5 matches, folks in my team doing it to.

Then add it based off of imputs.

They have the imputs of the player, if its a genuine mistake it’s far easier to spot than if the person turns around and throws themselves into the ground.

GRB is buggy as hell for this kind of stuff, and its completely different in idea. GRB a drone can die 5km above you and it gives whomever is closest the kill.

In ARB if you are literally in a dogfight and especially up at 9.0 and above, your distances will be far closer. talking withint 3kms max.

So say within a 1km radius to the person adds a kill to the closest player. Then it would 100 percent stop people just tossing themselves into teh ground when they see theyre about to lose.

I mean theyre dead anyways so what difference does it make.

Thats because he has a hit on you, and you bail.
that mechanics existed in the game since the get go.

And I’ve only at most been suspicious of 1 pilot in the last month, the rest failed to understand the turning circle of their aircraft.
I didn’t care that the 1 pilot crashed cause I saved a missile anyway and ended up winning the match

3km could be fair, people can just spear in before you can even shoot. They only need to deny your kill.

holy necro post

just let the thread have its rest in peace

Forum equivalent of a necromancer

More and more people have started to nose dive into the ground to avoid getting killed. Almost every other game at least 1 person will nose dive and kill themselves to avoid being killed by your missiles. It was always a thing but it was always incredibly rare but now it feels like every lvl 100 in ARB just nose dives to avoid getting killed by a lower level or a premium user.

I’ve had 4 people now nose dive when I launched an AIM-9 at them in my A-10, all but 1 of them have been lvl 100s. It’s completely killing ARB and it, just like spawn camping, is becoming more and more common even in lower and lower BRs. And it’s especially annoying when it’s someone you have chased around for MINUTES trying to kill, and once you actually get close enough to go guns on (I was in a F4 and they were a MIG-21 and I had been slowly catching them for over 2 minutes now. couldn’t use radar because of ground clutter and he still had flares so AIM-9s also wouldn’t work so had to go for guns) they just nose dived and I got nothing from it.

If someone crashes it should count as a kill to whoever is closer, just like if they J out or leave the game.

I had a game where 3 PEOPLE did this. 1 with an AIM-7, one with an AIM-9, and one when I was going for guns.

It’s such a weird thing to do as they still get a death added to their stats, still have to pay the repair costs, and still have to face a (pointless af) crew lock and whatnot

It makes no difference to anything if they kill themselves or they’re killed besides having to wait to play that vehicle for a bit so these people are clearly braindead as if the really insist on dying asap then they should avoid the crew lock by getting killed instead or just not playing at all

Ik it’s almost like they don’t want to hurt their ego or something by getting killed by someone using a premium or a lower level and would rather just say “oh yeah I crashed”.

Most of the people who do it are lvl 100 with no life stats doing it to people in premiums.

Just add a manouver kill mechanic.
You crashed while a missile was locked onto you or you RWR was screaming at you?
bam! Kill for whoever locked you
You crashed while an enemy/ies was like 3km from you?
bam! Kill for nearest enemy player

That’s the thing.
They don’t lose much when denying you a kill, so many will do it out of spite (for various reasons) or just for rage bait purposes.
