what does this utter drivel nonsense have to do with my post…
A suggestion for a possible proxy kill system:
If an opponent has a target locked with the X button, and the target ends up crashing, then that should be enough for consideration of a maneuver kill. This way random crashes 50 km away will not reward someone unrelated, and people that are actively fighting someone that crashes will be fairly credited.
Can add a minimum separation requirement to fine tune the system.
In a case of multiple people having the same target locked, award kill to closest player.
This kind of system will be able to work for all BRs, not just missile BRs.
Well, with the A-10A being 10.7, it is fully possible to face a player who (flying a Lazur-M) hasn’t bound flares yet. With a heat sig like that one, 100% possible to, in theory, get a 15km kill with a 9L/M
Addon to yesterday’s comment: the MiG needs to be on full burner flying away from the A-10 (MIG IS NOT MOVING, idk how) with an IRCCM lock (A-10 needs to be at its ceiling) then you can IN THEORY get a missile kill FROM 50 BLOODY KILOMETERS
I mean, at that point i think the a10’s earned it lol
Thats kind of his MO I keep seeing him do the exact same thing on many posts just ignore him and he’ll go away. (I’ve sent in a report to staff against this guy same as one other player I know.
@KaizerLeviath
If you want more RP and SL, this isn’t the way to do it.
Actually demand better rewards in general instead.
This feature isn’t a good idea.
This is the most intellectually absent comment I have ever encountered on this entire forum, period.
Using your mother dying and you rampaging that you don’t want someone to get a kill over this.
Jesus, I hope if your mother is dying your thought process is “let’s help my mother,” and at no time is it “ I have to leave the game, I sure hope someone doesn’t get a kill since I had to get up to help my dying mom.”
Let’s make sure I go tel all my friends and family and leave bad reviews because gaijin instituted a method of gameplay that affects where the points that have absolutely zero effect on me go after I die. In a game that is technically free and I never need to spend a dime on and matters not at all if I die, let alone where the credit goes for my death.
Like, foreal are you okay dude, I seriously question how your mind works.
@RavenGuardMarine
It’s called empathy for other members of mankind.
I used one example of many.
ZERO games on this planet use this system because psychologists figured out over half a century ago this causes excessive stress.
All my posts are because I’ve first hand witnessed how people, strangers and friends, deal with stress.
War Thunder has many stressful things as-is, it doesn’t need another.
As I said in the beginning: If you want more RP-SL per minute spent in match, DEMAND THAT.
More RP-SL per minute spent in match is both easier to implement as it’s already in the game as a system, and doesn’t cause any stress.
Welp thats the funniest thing I’ve heard all day lol
If you think raging at the game, going on a tirade of vengeance in reviews because people get the points for a death while you do anything, let alone help your dying mom … is empathy?
I question even more.
@RavenGuardMarine
No one said that.
Also you should really just acknowledge this and support this message as it has zero chance of backlash from players.
Your comments say otherwise. Your hyperbolic examples of your family dying and youre worried about someone getting credit for meaningless death in game
… speaks volumes about your supposed “empathy.”
To the second part you added, I don’t need to acknowledge anything other than that toxic little tirade you had above about someone getting credit for a “kill” while you’re “helping your dying mother,” because it was so absurd and I genuinely can’t think of a more retarded comment I have ever read on this forum. Topping every bit of rage bait I have ever seen.
Of which there have been many.
Please keep the conversation out of personal disputes but instead about the actual topic at hand. There’s no need to be disrespectful towards each other because you guys have different ideas or opinions. Agree to disagree is literally one of the first rules of the guidelines.
Mentally abused? Hurt psychologically? How? Because someone got rightful credit for a kill? Feels like a stretch man.
You also keep saying “anti player” a lot when I really just see this helping those who got denied.
Here’s a breakdown of what I think would happen.
I’d love to hear your side of how this would go
Add “wasted time” under You & Current system
Fake kills on stat cards is not something I want, and I’m not even a competitive player.
Competitive players only want real frags on their stat cards.
And the wannabes want fake frags to portray themselves anywhere as good as Defyn when they aren’t.
As I said:
There is no game on this planet with your system and it is because psychologists discovered it causes unneeded stress long ago.
IF your system was a good idea not only would it be in literally any game, but people would be playing that game.
The planet has had 30 years to implement your idea which is far from new and didn’t because it’s worse.
I do appreciate your perspective here:
It’s a valuable perspective even if I think its wrong based on psychology.
How does it cause stress? If the player is killing themselves purposefully specifically to deny rewards to another player they are doing it out of spite. It’s unsportsmanlike and should not be accepted.
Higher RP and SL during the match is not what we are discussing here, that’s moving the goalposts. We are talking specifically about people who willingly, with intent deny the kill to other players.
You know how many players I’ve seen intentionally crash because I was behind them this year? 1, out of the hundreds that have crashed in-battle, only one did it intentionally.
You know how many I see per match? Less than one.
It’s almost exclusively people misjudging their turn rates.
Having a bad idea implemented because of less than 1% of instances, or worst case, absolutely worst case less than 3% of instances is a bad tactic.
Why spend 100+ man hours [potentially thousands] inventing the first ever proximity system put in any game period when you can just spend <1 hour and increase RP-SL per minute as well, without backlash.
This has been an all day thing…
