ODL is far, far more blatant now than it was 4 years ago jesus man.
It used to be nearly excusively top tier, or very specific prems aka T72AV turms.
Now you have people, with full lineups, dying once and leaving, this is not something we should “suck up” as in reality it is massively detrimental to all those involved including gaijin, its becoming such an issue that at least 5 people I know have just flat out stopped playing the game.
You shouldn’t have to roll around in a 6.7 BR (or lower) tank just to get a game that isn’t over in under 3 minutes.
The matches are designed for 25 minute prolonged engagements.
Also initial one death leaving began as a counter to the ludicrous repair costs gaijin was implementing each update, conqueror was nearly about 15K at one point in time, for one tank at 7.7 that was absolutely bonkers. Thus people left to preserve SL, thats not even begining to cover the most expensive tanks, and or planes.
However, now with economy bolstered up, the premium unable to lose SL, and the repair costs dropped dramatically there is literally no excuse for ODL.
IF you wanna play the damn game, when you queue for a match, be ready to use the lineup you have, this nonsense of spawn one tank and leave as its a better way to grind or its faster, is just ridiculous now. completely.
It falls completely on the gaijin to resolve it, and at this stage the only way to kerb it is to start implementing gametime punishments, 4 hour bans, 8 hour, 12, 24 etc etc such as games like halo 2, 3 and reach did, or killzone 2 and 3, Haze.
Basically all the old 2010 ish era shooters did it quite well.
