We all know the nuke for ground. Get 2.5k sp, Spawn, destroy the map. This never really made sense for me as we end up taking our own troops out along with the enemy. Still winning instantly but not really “Realistic” from a war standpoint.
So here’s the change, Instead of nuking our battle site, we nuke the enemy airfield/FOB. It’s far enough (Usually) away where most vehicles won’t instantly get vaporized, But still dealing a heavy blow to the enemy.
To get into more detail though.
First, once spawning into a nuke, the player will have 2-3 lanes of travel to take from their airfield to the enemies. One or 2 will be on the far left and right of the map, usually avoiding the main battle area. These Area’s while being away from the main battle will have ground based radar and or short range missiles. The radar giving a location on the map to enemy planes/players, and/or limited Short range missiles that will fire at the aircraft. (These will be far enough to only fire onto an aircraft that follow these lanes.)
The main or second lane will be through the main battle, like normal. Having to deal with players spawning into spaa and such is already a task when trying to get to the actual battle area.
Next, Instead of instantly winning the game, It puts the match into “overtime” so to speak. Once the airfield/FOB has been destroyed by the nuke, Tickets and the timer are frozen.
Enemies can no longer spawn and allies will be able to keep spawning (Instead of SP, It uses SL now). Next, an “Escape” area spawns for the enemy team. (Air and ground)
This gives the enemy 2 choices. Either A. Make a last stand and fight to take as many players as they can. Or B. Get to the escape area and “Live to fight another day” (This will give the player a reward in SL & RP) After lets say 2ish minutes, all enemies will be revealed on the map.
This is the main rough draft so far but you guys get it.

While this generally does make it harder on the nuke carrier to drop nukes, i feel like this would be a pretty fun change non the less. Mainly because we could actually feel/see a nuke from our own tanks while still being able to fight.
Random side additions that don’t really matter
Open crew tanks take crew damage if they’re exposed directly to the nuke. (Direct los)
Have helicopters/Aircraft get damaged or influenced by the explosion. (Depending on distance)
Players are able to leave normally without any of the negatives for leaving a match early. Allied or Enemy. They do lose out on any potential rewards/kills if they do though.
