Dont forget cant damage drones

I don’t think any of the new SAMs can damage drones right now. I heard SAMPT players complaining about it just as much.

Definitely doesn’t help that CAMM opts to just miss the drones half the time.

Upon further research, hovering helicopters are simply invisible to giraffe AMB. So that’s great.

i might be able to do something about it

I sure hope so… My current set of observations:

  • cannot hit helicopters (and often can’t detect them)
  • cannot hit drones (i have hit 1 drone by pure luck and i dont even know how, also often can’t detect them)
  • can barely hit missiles
  • can hit jets, but base CAMM is painfully kinematically weak making it pretty hard
  • detection is inconsistent at best, with my radar failing to detect an su30 2km out at one point. I’m having CLAWS beat me to detection and engagement.
  • hiding the vehicle is literally impossible, making anti air roles very difficult because the radar is operational for about 5 of every 30 seconds.
  • the missiles still definitely do not pull 50G.
  • oh yeah, and the launchers still can’t operate independently.

overall not a fan.

Also they appear to have broken the radar screen and it just fails to show anything sometimes. will get a clip if I can,

Also also, CAMM doesn’t exist in hit analysis and is still invisible, and TWS still just cannot establish a track on receding targets.


Unironically considering giving up until fixes are implemented.

Forgot to mention!!! anything that flies “vaguely low” can just hard counter the entire system, let alone just notching and dropping 1 chaff (or in the case of helicopters, just dropping 1 chaff because they’re magic.)

Example of the radar simply failing to detect a helicopter.

I’ve recently been having issues with the Sky Sabre where it either won’t detect aircraft/helis, or it will detect them and mark them as munitions.

Sometimes I can literally see an enemy aircraft, but my radar shows nothing.

Same thing on my end. This didn’t happen on dev.

Yep, matches my observations and why ive given up for now

its a bug with all anti air with a radar screen, ive had by xm975 show nothing on the screen but i could see multiple enemies and so could my radar, i saw my brother die from an su25 he couldnt see on his radar but as soon as he closed the radar screen he was locked onto it(on spyder aio)

I almost wondered whether the building I was hiding behind was blocking the radar. Like the radar was being emitted from the truck not the mast or something

Honestly the radar on the top tier SPAA’s is so bugged that i’ve frequently been able to track people through buildings and trees.

I’ve even parked the radar inside a tree and still been able to use it totally normally. If anything the point the radar is emitted at is too high.

The issue is less so the radar being blocked, it’s more the fact it dosent work when it should.

After the last 9 months of CAPTOR-M. The latter is definetly more likely

whilst playing my lav ad i locked a su25 with a stinger he hid behind a mountain, yet my lock remained so i shot and the missile tracked through the mountain and killed him

Does anyone know if Gaijin set multipath height on a missile-by-missile basis or whether its a blanket figure applied to all missiles? I have my doubts that they would change it anyway but would be nice to know.

Both. I think.

Its set on a missile by missile basis, but everything is set to the same height no matter what

Each missile has a value but they’re all set to 60m. Theres no reason why they can’t reduce it for a certain weapon.
