Sky Sabre/Land Ceptor - Technical data and discussion

Nice, I would use the Stormer HVM, might even put a Talisman on it one day, but you cant do anything to recon drones and thats just annoying

Usually its not the MAWS but the LWR.

Gotta love the drone spam that fills the src radar and seemingly have larger thermal returns than twin engine jet fighters in full AB or helicopters sitting still 3km away.

Especially since stormer is still missing its IFF.

and the IRST 3rd person lock being bugged still making ID a nightmare since you have to manually rotate towards them and find them visually!!!

i have the opposite issue, the irst loves to lock a random scout drone or friendly heli behind me rather than the enemy heli/plane my cursor is directly over when i try to lock in 3rd person

The Sky Sabre’s missiles seem to just miss targets within around 1.5km sometimes for no reason, especially scout drones.

Below this range, the missile seems to overcorrect and essentially fly around the target. It should have plenty of time to correct itself and fly accurately, but it just wobbles around.

Sounds like it has a lot of issues against a lot of targets;

Well. Managed to get Sky Sabre unlocked and its useless. Helis are 100% immune to it. Especially these new super OP FnF helis the Soviets got.

So nothing changed since dev… sick.
And we’ve still got the placeholder AMRAAM seeker despite CAMM using an AESA.

Do you have something to back that up?
I have been looking for a source stating what seeker, or even what type, it uses for months.

I had a source that specifically said it was GaAs or GaN, which are only used in AESA. I’ll go see if I can find them.

Hmm, interesing. I will look into that.

Does anyone know what this means in terms of Radar?
CAMM family is equipped with a solid-state, active RF seeker taken from the CAMM family brochure

Not much can be made out of it.
Like, nothing at all, other than it is solid state, not much game wise, and that is its active.

Solid state suggests no moving parts at least in the electrical sense. The seeker would be in effect fixed

Solid state as a specific term in Radars. It means it is not using a magnetron.
it does not mean it has no moving parts.

Would you expect to see that technology on a missile this modern?
