37% is enough damage to kill it within 3 salvos. And all red areas turned black including crew compartment:
same goes for next shot, if it didnt hit the ammo, entire rear portion would be destroyed as well.
after changes it is both much easier to crew kill as well as ammorack skr. at the same time skr guns feel much weaker and quickly run out of bullets. 4.3 is a good place for this thing.

IMO 3 salvoes is 1 too many - even tho’ it is crew % and not flotation damage, which IMO should be a lot higher!
Well most destroyers on this BR take longer to be destroyed same is for other frigates like karl marx or koln. Skr is generally at the bottom of the 4.3 survivability (excluding ammoracks).

now sap will kill it
and the turret is now also vulnerable
i was a bitter opponent to these things but it looks like it has been fixed and they are still op but not to an unacceptable degree anymore
Update: As many people have pointed out as long as you have a fast enough fire rate and/or reasonably good SAP shells SKRs will become no more at 4.7 onwards.
For me it mostly depends on how people use the SKR and the destroyer; A bad SKR player will become cannon fodder immediately while a good SKR player will absolutely dominate a match. Same logic applies to the destroyer the SKR is going for; A clueless or bad destroyer player will die immediately while one who knows how to counter them can pull a reversal on the SKR, possibly even ammoracking it.

the SKR has a good armament with a wonky armor scheme which makes it weird. Anything with penn over penns it and HE does minimal damage. its a weird ship to fight. if you dont know its armor layout its going to pound a lobby into submission.
I suspect you shot too high or too low. With the USS Moffett you should have no trouble taking down the SKR-7.
I played a battle today with the Mogador (new French destroyer at 4.7 BR). It took me 3 salvos to kill my first SKR-7 with it:
The distance was medium (~4.5 km) and I focused mainly on using torpedoes, so I didn’t have much time to aim accurately. It still died very easily.
Later in the same battle, from a closer distance (below 3 km) I aimed for the ammo rack:
I hit it a little too far, but it didn’t matter since the SKR’s rear ammo rack is completely unprotected, so you don’t even have to aim too carefully.
You can do this with any SAP/AP shells that have an explosive filler. For example, the Pr.206-M video recorded in 2023:
The main dangerous thing about the SKR-7 is its rockets. For this reason, I usually try to keep a distance of at least 2.5 km from them. But especially for 4.0 - 5.3 BR destroyers they are easy to kill, they die much easier than destroyers at the same BR.

I pop them with the US destroyers. SKRs are most deadly when paired up but alone they are not too op
