SKR - 7. When is it going up in BR?

Im sure my skr could eventually kill a graf spee or koln. Depends on if they decide to engage me or not.

Big cap as usual. Any player who can aim will disable skr in 1-2 shots on those BRs.

Im sure every ship can eventually kill every other. But what is the point if both of those cruisers can mince skr with a single salvo?:)

Man, stop with these false excuses, internet is full of videos that prove you otherwise, I even recorded a video where SKR takes a bunch of hits and you don’t disable it, any player with SKR is OP. He deserves a BR increase

Why not posting it? I got skr in two 127mm salvos few days ago. There were plenty of people on previous copethread who posted their killfeed with skrs demolished by 4.0s. The skr used to have broken dm but it has no more. It is time to stop whining and get better.

I recently killed 4x SKR in a single battle using just 3.7 DDs. I then repeated the feat and posted the screenshots of both battle results as proof. Does that mean reserve DD should be 5.3?

The idea that they can dominate equivalent, or even stronger Bluewater regularly enough to justify an increase is certainly not proven in my recent experience after the recent multiple nerfs the SKRs received . Yes they bully other coastals, they damn well should do as they sit at the top rank of the pyramid. They also should do well in downtiers (as should all types) but so often that factor is ignored.

People need to learn how to counter them. No kamikazi CQB tactics, no DD captains stat padding with easier kills on bots, no letting them float unhindered to coastal spawns undamaged…

Are you serious?

Again more excuses, Russian players need to learn how to play, and stop using OP vehicles.
Only bad players defend SKR, it is a fact

I’m conflicted. As an SKR player myself (it is my most used vehicle) I can concur it is very good but I feel kinda sorry for most of my victims (boats and reserve destroyers in particular).

Where it truly shines is CQC, where up to 2.5 km with its rockets it can demolish anything, even cruisers. Long range combat is simply not right for it due to the guns’ low damage at these ranges and thus makes it borderline useless in encounter matches and even against other ships at said ranges.

While it may make some sense for the devs to put the SKR at 4.7 (in essence putting some relief in 3.3 players) Markimash makes a very good point. In downtiers, it can do anything it wants but the same cannot be said for uptiers. Prinz Eugens, Raimondos and the like can saw it in half while it cannot do anything.

In conclusion, I am in between a rock and a hard place. What would be the lesser of two evils…?

Well too bad you don’t want to listen to arguments while also not presenting any to counter. But at the end of the day it is your choice, your problem:)

Learn the difference between ‘excuses’ and reasoned arguments where evidence has been provided.

If you choose to ignore simple advice such prioritising, early engagement and staying outside of mortar range then you are doomed to be SKR fodder at any BR.

It means DD’s have no business in a boat battle

I don’t ignore anything, it is a fact that the only ones I defend this medium are the players who don’t know how to play the game and want to keep their precious OP vehicle.

On top of that it is literally full of arguments and evidence that it is OP SKR, both within the main warthunder forum and on several videos on Reddit in their sub, just simply search.

The only thing that has always been a constant is the bogus excuses from players wanting to protect their precious OP vehicle.
And Gaijin keeping Russian vehicles OP.

Also if you prove them wrong in this forum you end up getting a Ban or your comment gets censored, because if you don’t kiss Gaijin’s ass and their propaganda they get indignant.
Here is a clear example of Russian bias censored because it bothered him that I was right😂

So no arguments again, no counter to what has been said, conspiracy theory, bit of thrash talk and unrelated ground topic… wouldnt say Im suprised:)

And here it is ladies and gentlemen… drum roll… the denial of evidence😏…Where have I seen this behaviour before? Ah! Right, this is the behaviour, that all Russian fanboys do, who want to protect their precious OP vehicle, if you don’t believe it go and reread all the discussions made on this forum, in the old one and on reddit in the Warthunder sub.

The truth that the developers, that sweaty Russian fan boy, are fully aware of what SKR is and all the problems it causes. They simply don’t care, or maybe they want it as is, and live in a fantasy world: a Soviet ship destroying all western navies to oblivion.

In the forums raising the SKR issue is pointless. You will immediately be attacked by several sweaty people who use this boat all the time to grind naval events. They give enough answers that it will look like SKR is weak, too high in BR or not problematic, so they can sealclub and farm on 4.3 with high probability of downtier.

However for the developers, there is no chance they will increase SKR BR, so all the fools who threw money at SKR can dominate battles (and still fail in most cases because they attack from the side, get destroyed and cry that the ship is not good enough🤣).

So if a 3.7 reserve DD is now so strong that Bluewater needs banning how do you continue to argue they can can stand up to 4.7 or even 5.0?

Simple, they can’t.

I learned how to fight them by playing to my vehicles strengths which is why although I hate them I am certainly not scared of them. You’ve chosen to ignore all advice and tactics suggested and instead gone the easy ‘Russian Bias’ route. You’ll be in for a shock at 4.7 when things are even tougher.

Ok so if Gaijin were to remove all mixed battles and seperate coastal and Bluewater completely - you do realise that would make SKRs even stronger!?! No longer would they have to run in an uptier because there wouldn’t be any.

Stop ranting and start listening.

Yet another pointless rant lol I guess it feels good being oppressed

This is the answer I think - they seem to be unreasonably damage resistant for unknown reasons - certainly they are killable, but can take a lot of shells to do so.

So “the answer” is, IMO, to nerf their damage model rather than putting them at a higher BR.

Are you the guys who also wants no bluewater ships in coastal battles? In which case the SKR’s will have no counter at all…???

The dm model was changed since that thread was made, the skr rn takes heavy losses from sap destroyer salvos. Cruisers generally disable it or kill it with a single salvo

I was playing against them 12 hrs ago, and I didn’t notice any such change - was pumping Moffett salvoes into one at 1.5km range and it soaked up a good handful before dying despite being already damaged when I started!

thats weird for sure. I dont know exactly when the change was but I rememeber there was a general dm model change after which skrs started dying easily.

Here is one taking full salvo from gering which was its first dmg in this battle. Second salvo ignited the ammo rack. That is how generally every my encounter with skr goes this days tbh
