I’'ve got 8 out of the 10 nations at top tier, as well as I’ve got every tree at least to rank 5, so no. I don’t sit at lower BRs: I generally tend to avoid them as much as I can as I dislike them.
I’ve played the majority of lower BR’s vehicles on other games like WoT or AW so it’s pointless fo rme
No.
Learn to play, earn good vehicles for the battlerating, learn the maps and do what the top players of the enemy team did, watch the replays if necessary.
Having a Skill-based Matchmaker will only frustrate the playerbase even further than it already (and permanently) is, and won’t solve the skill gap between you and the enemy top 1 player at all if it’s a smurf account. Sealclubbing at low brs will always exist, and the only remedy to it is to be good enough to overcome sealclubbers’ knowledge.
“Learn to play!!!”
Yeah, and how do you do that?
By playing, yes?
And how can you play, if you’re spawn-locked in at least half the matches you play, as well as the rest of your team?
What is there to learn?
“You will suffer and get nowhere except by the grace of the snail, so don’t even try”?
Which is what SBBMM fixes - you’re just mad because it would mean you won’t be able to farm newbs for easy kills, and instead have to pick on someone your own size.
If having to play to your level bracket frustrates the player base, good, be frustrated.
Not at all. I’m politely saying it to you: Get good!
Besides, War Thunder balancing system through BRs makes the introduction of SBMM an statistical challenge, near impossible to apply except for some determined brackets filled with vehicles for most of nations.
I’m thinking of 10.3/10.7 bracket, 5.7/6.0, 3.3/3.7… but that’s it, the rest of brackets have so much spread, many nations straightup lacking vehicles for some BRs or having serious balance issues, making it impossible to apply such system.
And as a personal note, I don’t want to sweat every game because I’m slightly above the average of the lobotomized playerbase, and just because you don’t want to learn how to play, thank you very much.
You of all people should know better than to look at my logged hours and suggest I’m not trying to learn how to play.
Then accept the fact you should still try to get better before complaining and asking for a ranked/skill-based matchmaker.
We’ve all been there and I’m not being antagonistic because I enjoy watching people get rinsed on lower tiers.
This is where you failed. You think the system is broken or nonexistent but reality is its working as intended. These people do not care whatsoever about your fun. They do not care about fair. They are putting you in the worst possible situation to push you into pay to win tanks and aircraft.
Even if you do pay to win guess what? They will just uptier you yet again. Track your matches and you will see the pattern. X number of losses then you will get the X number of wins. Never greater then 50%. Normally for my matches its 7 losses to 1 win. Uptiered to +2 or more. I am running tier 7, get matched with tier 9+ nonstop. Went to 8 and its then matched to 10+.
That is it. You either pay to win or get crapped on nonstop. This is why people need to stop playing. Hit them in the pocket to where it has to be fixed because until this happens, nothing will change.
They are more interested in pushing Pro Soviet propaganda, stealth nerfing vehicles, and gimping matches to get you to buy more stuff rather than running a game company. Yes of course they would make more money if it were not for their agenda and their greed, ironically: They just simply don’t care about fun.
This
I always wonder how they would even have your “skill level” measured.
Lile every game with SBMM has every character fighting everyone. How would that work when we have 6 different game modes and each of those are split into basically 12+ different mms
I would imagine through SR1 groups, or a similar metric.
FR, especially in shooters you can measure skill way better then in vehicle combat. Does my “skill” go down when i spade a new thing or start a new tech tree?
For starters just measure and match of a Time in Game…how many hours…0-100 etc. There is no way in hell it makes sense for a 10 hour player to be facing a 5k hour player.
Ngl, would be funny af to watch matches full of lvl10 premium hordes in their 12.0 jets.
This is one of the worst takes on matchmaking for a large scale vehicle game ive ever seen
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
What are you saying?
Skill based matchmaking will make this game worse, simple as that
hullo gaijin, this is a serious post about your matchmaking
Do you even hear yourself? Do you expect them to listen or something? I’m not really getting your message here boss.
Is this the only game you’ve ever played? Because honestly, it’s completely clear that every single PvP game has matchmaking. Every one of them. That’s the foundation of PvP. Do you get it? Maybe here they treat it like some sort of committee decision, but for heaven’s sake… matchmaking is the basis of every PvP game xD. It has never ruined a single game and it never will, and it wouldn’t ruin War Thunder either.
But I’m curious why the developers haven’t spoken about this yet? To me, that’s incomprehensible. This is a service that many of us pay for. The boss has a new car, the moderators and the devs have jobs because we pay and keep the game alive. Don’t we deserve at least that much? A fair explanation?
I understand it’s free-to-play, but everyone knows you can’t live off ‘free.’ They owe us a proper explanationwe’re not asking for something impossible :( The developers do good work, but always on things that aren’t what many players would actually want. Still, they really do put a lot of effort into the game. Many developers just take the money and disappear, but the War Thunder devs genuinely work hard on the game. That’s why I don’t understand why they don’t bother to give us an answer.
