Simply skipping the uptier

Simple question really. Are any of you simply bailing out as soon you see you are uptierd?

Is this now common practice to just leave the game when placed a full uptier?

There’s no benefit to J’ing out / returning to hanger to avoid an uptier you would have to contend with crew lock. Dynamic repair costs resolve any qualms about uptiers since you’ll pay next to nothing in repair costs the faster you die.

I know this but it not what I asked.People still do what they want regardless and most play many nations to avoid crew lock.I am asking if its common practice now to say no thanks to the uptier.

To my knowledge no, for the reasons I listed prior.

For once i agree

I actually agree but I understand why people do it.I am interested to see how many if any.

Well from my PoV, not a lot,…

It have been severly decreased since the features @Vamilad talked have been implemented.

I’m more concerned about trollsquads, which are still a thing somehow,… and i’m even more worried with the management of squads with reduced team size toggle

Trollsquads?

I call them like that when one 12.7 jet players bring 3 props of under 3.0 BR, through squad system.

I like to maximize my suffer so… no. Besides it wastes boosters.

No, but there is a reason why I play ASB far more than ARB. I can avoid uptiers with 100% certainity and if I want to play in an uptier, then its my choice and not RNG.

The few times I do play ARB (and its rare) I’ll usually just adopt alternative tactics. That being said. many aircraft I will NOT play in ARB because uptiers are nearly gunaranteed its pretty much always DOA

Im hearing that there are tech clashes in the era such as some AFVs not having night vision vs those that do and Some jets not having flares and countermeasures needed to face those more modern? I certainly find a hideous clash with late WW2 and post war especially as my CAS is WW2 prop.

Im playing the big heavies and they are ok accept uptier where they are just somewhat pointless really but it’s working so far and its early days for me there so I reserve judgement.

Yeah, No CMs vs All-aspects, Super-sonics vs Sub-Sonics. etc. Its a tad messy

I do it when I am on a map I dislike, or if I am playing a lineup that does poorly in uptiers.

Full uptier on Rhine in the t-34-85? I’d spawn in multiple times.

Full uptier on Sands of Sinai playing France 7.7? Absolutely not.

Im facing the 1969 M163 in my WW2 props currently and its a joke.Plus the Elephant at 6.7 is a chore but at least it has armour ,not in the uptier though facing Soumas etc at 7.7,it just becomes redundant and pointless.

I’m pushing on and remaining optimistic but the uptier is spoiling the fun and that is what we are there for .I can take it that the Russians can pen 200mm with some later WW2 vehicles ,just about but the cold war is bringing in almost 300mm of pen power.

I kind of feel Gaijin are killing their own game with it all.Any way this is not my whinge fest : ) ,well it’s not meant to be.

nope . . I don’t even look at that stuff when the game starts. All I check is to see the game’s “size” then off I go to shoot the red guys . . . pew pew pew. I mean there is nothing you can do to change any of that stuff once the game starts, so why even worry about it? If you come across and enemy vehicle that you are scared off, can’t handle or whatever, you have 3 basic options - 1) go full ham and try to take him with you, 2) get some buddies and gang up on him or 3) Run away . . .

If you only play 11.7 you never get uptier.

And how is that working out ?

Nah, I usually roll woth any game unless I get killed immediately from the spawn. If the fun in that games dies, I leave.
