should I use an air-sim controller for WT?
A joystick of any description is probably better than M&K, but the virtual joystick is apparently pretty good if you master it

I personally use a Xbox controller
I recommend strongly AGAINST using Stick & rudder controls for arcade. It’s a nightmare. Air RB is slightly better, but still a massive handicap. If you intend to use them, you should play Air Simulator battles which you can do by:
- click the subtitle under “Battle”
- Events & Tournaments
- Air simulator battles
- Click a lobby that has a decent number of players. Here, you can find the list of maps and their sizes: Enduring Confrontation | War Thunder Wiki (bottom of the page, needs expanding)
- Rewards in Air sim work off of a timer. Earn up to 1050 score and survive 15 minutes for maximum reward, then land once “Useful Actions” show up on screen. Once that occurs, you have a new cycle to earn 1050 score again for maximum reward. Dying earlier resets the timer & counter to zero.

No. I dont watch in WT on YT
For ASB: If you have one, sure go ahead. Use a stick or a controller, but with mouse and keyboard you will be still highly competetive in high tier jets.
For AAB: Absolutely not, are you out of your mind? I used to despise the virtual instructor, playing with relative control instead of mouse aim, I was terrible.
