Show us your favourite gameplay moments (SB)

We do a lot of moaning on the forum and in a lot of instances rightly so. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t fun to be had.

YouTube is oversaturated with RB gameplay (not a problem if you enjoy that I don’t judge, weirdo’s.) but there’s not much Sim footage out there to watch. So I wondered if it’d be a good idea to make a thread for SB gameplay we could share.

Here’s a couple of clips I slapped together in one of the rare moments that I actually look like I know what I’m doing.

Come on lads and ladette’s show us what you’ve been up to!

Probably my most cinematic moment yet - Defensive in Spitfire F Mk IX (the 4.7 one, not the 5.0 thing) vs Yak-3.

I joined a kinda dead server that was winding down and somehow ended up at enemy airfield hoping to squeeze out one last dogfight.

Another proud moment was when I finally stopped dying in the spitfire to my own stupidity and managed an intentional maneuver kill.

“Those two zeros are following me really tight. What if I rolled over?”

DOUBLE KILL.

Speaking of firsts, my first match where I finally managed to pull off a reversal for the first time ever over 7 months ago:

And finally,

I am very proud of my ability to land planes that have no right being airborne. My latest example is flying a Bf109G14 without ailerons using just the proverse yaw of my rudder.

I did come in a little too hot, but in my defence I couldn’t do forward slip to ditch altitude without ailerons, and with my engine on verge of dying I didnt want to lose too much energy too early.

I make it a point to demonstrate that my stick is indeed impotent at rolling left/right.

Most of these are before I discovered my newest camera controls alas.

Hopefully I’ll get a cool moment with my new camera approach and get a clip worthy of sharing other than the usual slop of my sorties I post.

Coolest thing I pulled off since my new camera was a snap roll dodge in the P-38 but the visuals are kinda useless as I was panicking all over.

Edit:

Kinda shows off camera.
Was recording to have proof of hazy + evening causing black dots to pop in & out.
Got a very smooth yak-3 kill instead.

I really need to start capturing more moments, but usually I just hit record when something bugged out or when something funny happened.

But had this a few days ago was kinda funny:

and this was some of the worst flying i’ve ever done (had taken a long break and it was my first time back in SB, let alone the SHar) but definetly the dirtiest kill I’ve ever gotten:

The “donk!” into the tree and the few seconds of the Harrier being stunned made me laugh.

Same! Lucky I wasn’t sipping a beveridge at the time otherwise it would be all over my keyboard from out my nose.

@Morvran
Was that one of those times where you’d lift your hands in anger or exasperation and be like… "ugh… (defeated) … …oh… wait, I’m not dead… (scrambling to control vehicle again) "

Kinda, I was surprised, when I survived the crash landing especially when I realised I was still flight capable. So my first thought was. Can I sneak back home to repair? And if so where was this guy I was dogfighting… Oh wait there he is, oh I have a 9L left…

Well it’s edited, but these are probably my favorite moments in simulation, flying with friends in formation and doing absolutely anything is the best part of this mode
