Not only having to focus on the way I use it’s missiles and concentrate on “actually” playing with that aircraft, If that makes any sense to you, would be nice.
The CT and C-200 would remain untouched creating a win-win situation.
The only difference between the F1C and F1 200 is the air refueling prob.
Same loadouts.
The F1C was designed to be used as a more air to air plane, while the F1CT still has AGMS for round strike. EDIT: well it used to actually have anti tank ground missiles. Its been that long since ive looked at it.
the platforms are the same, the loadout varies marginally
EDIT to build on the other edit, technically because the F1CT is missing most its Anti ground gear it’s loadout looks empty.
However my statement was the F1C and F1 200 are identical.
Aye, but they said all 3 are the same configuration. Just highlighting CT and base F1 have notably different payload. CT belongs where it is, as does the F1 after all the fixes.
CT also has a much better rwr. The AAM access is reduced on CT (Not overly, but it’s still missing a pylon you could load, which after a number of changes is actually useful now). But it’s a far better strike platform.
Have you used it recently? It holds up surprisingly well on account of how slow it is in the case of the IR one. Surprisingly, much of the time flares pass out of its view before it’s maneuvered adequately to chase them. It’s quite handy at forcing faster targets to bleed speed.
The CT cannot use guided weapons alone, it cannot guide them itself and therefore requires buddy lasing (for TV-guided weapons, France has never had any so I don’t know what weapons could be added)
Its current armament is quite complete (regarding the load it can use alone), the only things missing are the BAP100, BAT120, BGL66 and Durandal. Some bomb payload are also inaccurate if I remember correctly.
Otherwise the big difference between the F1C and the F1C200/F1CT irl concerns the carrying of certain jamming/countermeasure pods, the F1C is limited to the Phimat (maybe the BOZ-103) while the other variants can also carry the Barax and the Barracuda (The F1C can probably carry the Barracuda but I can’t find any sources about it)
“Hum Actually”, technically the F1C 200 is also 200 millimetres longer than the F1C, to accommodate the equipment for the refuelling pod. I do not think the length difference is actually present in game, but that’s where the 200 in the name comes from.
Edit : The F1CT is also missing all of its guided armement because it can’t laser guide it’s own weaponry, needing a buddy laser, so the devs have ruled out the F1’s guided ground armament
I’m surprised that the Magic 1 is not mentioned, given the airframe and the year of introduction of the magic 1 (1976) that is really close to the year of introduction of the Mirage F1 (1974). It would be a bit weird to have a Mirage F1 without the Magic 1 while the Mirage IIIC and IIIE both have it.
I’m not against it, i’m also interested by this one, but i think that we should also get a Mirage F1 with Magic 1 at least, if not Magic 1 and Super 530F.
