Sim could really use CBU-105.
Not remotely convinced brimstones would be as potent in ground with their correct guidance as Gaijin suspects. They really should just bite the bullet and resolve it, if it is broken, immediately focus on counters, if it isn’t, oh well.
Reading their “explanation” of why they think full strength Brimstones would be too OP to me reads like they were entirely and purely looking at the LOAL mode, where they could be rippled off without line of sight and they would find their own targets. Obviously that would be too strong, but they also have a LOBL mode which would be fine.
They could also have made LOAL without IFF to punish wanton use of it, I’m sure we wouldn’t gamble with it

All that is very cool and interesting, but ultimately it all comes down to the simple fact that as soon as one researches the fullback and grom 1’s he can grind pretty much infinite RP and SL (mostly in ASB) with near-zero risk, near-zero APM and brain usage (therefore rather easily automated) and, given how useful actions work, notably good (if not outright exceptional) efficency. Maybe less so in ARB, but the general idea is the same. Not even to mention event grind (see - rocket F-111’s rushing airfields and make it worse, a lot worse). And we cant have that. Simple as, really.
If it were literally anything else, any other reason, say general balance - by that logic, would we have 38MT’s? And we for sure do.
ofc why not, gbu53 just with ir seeker would still be very good, the benefits of the gbu 53 vs the maverik is stark. even though gbu53 are slow, u can oversaturate pantsir campers(something maverik fails)
