Should the Grom-1 be added back in the march update? yes or no

yea right it not that big of a deal and I been using Russia and su34 and I was able to get to the base before a grom1 when they had it in the dev server in a f4s the f-20 the su-34 the f-16s the f-15s and su-27/mig-29 its not that over powered people need to bitchimg in my option

You have looked solely at ARB and come to that conclusion.

ASB is a very very different situation. Redfor already has access to the best glide bombs in game, with the bluefor equivalents like the GBU-39 lacking any meaningful “base killing power” that would enable use at very long ranges.

The addition of that rocket booster gives the Grom-1s both extra range and far greater flexibility in their employment. Within ASB, it would enable any that carry it, to strike at targets like AFs from accross map with relative ease and more than likely, fairly easy base kills as well, as few redfor aircraft normally go for bases.

The assymetry and gameplay this causes, let alone the room for score exploitation by taking off, firing and J-ing out only to repeat. Is enourmous, and they were removed for good reason. If you want to attack a base from long distance, use the Grom-2. They have a larger warhead than the Grom-1 meaning less bombs needed per target to secure the kill.

I don’t mind being corrected, so please enlighten me on where I am so - “Hilariouly WRONG LMAO”

Sure USA has JDAM, JDAM-ER and SDB. Israel even has SPICE, China with TL-500, South Korea with KGGB or even Turkey with KGK but please let me know of similar system that has:

  • GPS Guidance Only (Not AGM with IR, TV, etc.)
  • 170kg Payload
  • Rocket Booster + Glide Kit

In what world is a Rocket Booster + Glide Kit Bomb comparable to a Supersonic missile?

its not ,however if russia is gonna get grom-1 then israel can get the turbo jet powered-spice 250ER glide bomb (150km range)

I don’t mind the SPICE, only problem is the seeker.

?, its just a iir/ccd, that not overly op compared to the irl seeker of the brimstone

I don’t see why not, it’s not quick enough to get to a base before the fighters.

They serve the same purpose of long range strikes guided by GNSS, if the speed is an issue then it’s addressed by the limited number compared to a Grom 1

Micro-Turbojet Powered w/ 150km Range + IR Seeker === Mini Cruise Missile
It needs to be GPS until Gaijin officially introduces cruise missiles.

Which defeats the entire purpose of the SPICE 250, if israel is to recieve a long range GNSS weapon then it should be Rampage not SPICE 250 ER

No.

We are done with one nation getting a technology first before everyone else.
Either everyone gets it or no one does.
That is fair.

Understandable however it’s still not comparable to the Grom-1. It’s more comparable to the Kh-38.

In AB the speed + range could be problematic, Grom-1 is slow enough to still be beaten by players. Your note on the limited amount could offset that though as the full loadout would probably not even guarantee 1 base.

In GB it would be interesting as it switches to IR Seeker in Terminal Phase. It could go bulldog and just look for a target as data-link isn’t as it should be yet in-game. So there’s a factor of hitting the enemy or a friendly.

In my opinion, I don’t see an issue with Rampage as an AGM.

Long Range - GPS target required to launch then auto-switch to IR Seeker (letting the missile decide the final target) allowing for some RNG due to it’s unique guidance system compared to other AGM.

Mid-Short Range - Normal IR Guidance.

spice 250 not spice 250 er, spice 250 is just a gbu39 but with a iir seeker, it would be bassicaly a underpowered agm65 maverik.but higher exxplosive warhead.spice 250 should come

I have no problem with the normal SPICE glide bombs, in fact I have been advocating for them to be added. They’re slow, need altitude for glide range and have a decent payload. Nice unique addition to the game.

You also have a range of SPICE glide bombs as well with IR Seeker. 2000 lb, 1000 lb and 250 lb. So not only SPICE 250.

spice 250 is the most unique, cause u can take 28 of them on the f15I,bassically , a f15I flying 25 km away at a altitude of 20,000 feet from a ground rb battle, would be able to pick out targets and decimate 50% of the enemy team.due to this issue , i suppose f15I to be added with able to carry 12 bombs max(balancing)

I am not all too convinced groms would be overpowered outside of them providing you a slightly safer launch situation. They take more pylons for a worthwhile payload compared to Grom 2s, which take few pylons to remove a base and have exceptional range with altitude. With the new NCTR stuff coming in, you could ID the platform carrying Groms and remove it pretty swiftly. This would also slightly discourage airfield camping in the absence of long range air defense (desperately needed), as I would wager it would become easier for blue to intercept just ahead of the territory border than let a grom carrier through.

I hope they add CBU-105 and GBU-53

I would say because of cases like these where ASB differs so wildly in terms of balancing. It should be siloed off and only certain weapons should be allowed as they disrupt new weapons from being added due to balancing concerns.

ASB and I would note SQB as well should be treated as a separate entity similar to how restrictions are handled in Ranked/Competitive game modes.

If that oculd be done ,then I would love to get FnF Brimstones added to hte game as well. Would be great fun in ASB
