Should Pantsir be nerf?

You cannot Multi-Path while doing CAS. That’s not possible. Mutli-Path requires that you, quite literally, scrape the ground. As a result, you’re suppressed and unable to perform CAS until the missile is off of you. Good luck doing that while being effective.

If you’re working to beat a Fox-3 while the operator of said Fox-3 AND an SPAA are both trying to kill you while countering any moves you make, you’re working at a severe disadvantage. One that you will not win usually.

Any competent user of said system will beat you consistently.

So u take less ammunitions to kill targets and i dont like using this gbu they are very slow also u allready have like 4 diffrent weapons to cycle through

If using a weapon perfect for countering SPAA is too hard for you, then don’t complain. Even my A-10C can easily counter any SPAA by using them.

The Pantsir is decent, but it’s not strong enough as an SPAA in the current meta. Other SPAAs are just even worse. Compared to other anti-air vehicles, the Pantsir seems “cracked,” but against CAS, it’s pretty trash.

That thing is not gonna go very far without a booster phase

Who said you should be doing both at the same time ?
By dealing with enemy CAS and then ground pound some of your own, you’re effectively helping your team.

And now you’re assuming AAs have uninterrupted vision of 100% of the playable area for planes, so you cannot disregard them in any moment.

I made some tests in statshark and it looks pretty good there. But idk how accurate statshark is.

If you’re in a ground match, you will be. Enemy CAS and Enemy Anti-Air will be well within range of you at all times. The map size does not truly allow you to escape that.

And how exactly are you going to deal with enemy CAS at all times when you don’t know when they will spawn or pop up? You’re pretending that you can both scan for air targets and attack ground units at the same time at all times. This isn’t possible. Everyone dies from mistakes.

Once again, you just said you can disregard them and go for CAS first, which you can’t consistently do. You will not always spot an enemy on your radar or know when an enemy plane is up. The enemy will not just let you kill them all the time. Many opponents will fight you for every inch even while you’re distracted.

At the very least, the Pansir S1 should be brought to realism. In reality, it has a lot of shortcomings that are not in the game.

The authors of the report are V.V. Belotserkovsky, candidate of military sciences, associate professor (VPVO VVS) and I.A. Razin (VA VPVO VS).
The report states:

  1. actual firing results in order to reduce the low capability of the complex to fire at targets maneuvering and flying with a course parameter of more than 2-3 km.

  4. the main disadvantage of the bi-caliber missile ***** is the absence of an engine in the cruise stage of the SAM, as a result of which, within the declared destruction zone, the missile will move with a negative acceleration of the radius of 50-30 m / s2, which leads to the appearance of such nonlinearities in the input signal control circuit of the SAM, which lead to an increase in its errors on a maneuvering target.
  5. the capabilities of the complex to destroy TBMs, OTBMs, as well as their warheads when using a hypersonic SAM with a warhead weighing 4 kg have not been confirmed.
  6. the presence of only two methods of guiding the SAM ***** (using the three-point method; using the half-rectification method) limit the capabilities of the complex to destroy various types of air defense systems with simple movement conditions (maneuver, interference, NLC, hovering helicopter, UAV, etc.). 7) The control system for detonating the warhead of a hypersonic SAM, which operates on a signal from the SAM system in accordance with the established difference in ranges between the Target and the missile, can be effective only when guiding the SAM ****** using the full rectification method, and when guiding the SAM using the “three points” method and half rectification only when the target is moving directly towards the SAM system’s firing combat vehicle. 8) In the above-mentioned last case, hitting the target can lead to low consequences of ricocheting of the striking elements of the warhead, since in this case their velocity vector will be directed at a small angle to the target’s surface. 9) effective coordination of the SAM combat equipment (areas of implementation of the non-contact target sensor, NTC and dispersion of the warhead striking elements) is not ensured, as well as prevention of the NTC launch of the SAM **** from the underlying surface when firing at the NLC
  7. the influence of meteorological conditions (rain, fog, hydrometeors) on the reduction of the target detection range for the developed millimeter wave radar is 10-50 times stronger than in the version of the SAM system with a sequential wave radar, therefore, this shortcoming cannot be compensated for by the presence of an optical-electronic channel for tracking the target center in the Patsir-S1 SAM system, due to the dependence of the latter on meteorological conditions. 11) the large overall dimensions of the BM ZRPK on a wheeled base, especially in height (in the combat position 5.65 m), as well as the lack of armor protection for the fire kit, equipment compartment (SOC, SSCR, SUO) do not allow the use of the ZPRK at the forefront in combat and pre-combat formations when holding back troops.
  8. the dimensions of the BM ZPRK in the traveling position on a wheeled base (4, 374 m) do not allow it to be transported by rail, since the permissible loading clearance in height (1T) is 3.8 m, while dismantling the equipment compartment and loading it onto a platform for transportation using a special crane takes 3 hours for one BM, and a special crane and equipment are also required.
    Unloading and installation of the equipment compartment during rail transportation require the same labor costs (3) and a domestic special crane. 13) the dimensions of the BM increase the labor costs for the engineering launch position compared to other air defense missile systems (AAMS) of the military air defense equipment.

They changed the seeker type, but it doesn’t change anything. The missile can still wildly outrange a Pantsir, so use it.

Because there’s nothing overpowered about the Pantsir. It’s just an SPAA that performs better than the others, but when it comes to actually being an SPAA, it’s lacking against current threats.

Aircraft is the best counter for other aircraft, so it should be common sense to deal with your biggest threat first before you start going against sitting ducks aka ground vehicles.

Many maps allow you to break LoS with AAs way before their their missiles run out of range.

Enemies spawn in a predetermined area, so looking at that occasionally doesn’t look that hard.

A2G is trivial to use and require very little user interaction. In most cases you have two buttons to press and you’re done.

Considering how easy is to break LoS from AA I’d say my scenario is much more representative than yours.

You always have RWR and kill feed to help you out.

Good thing the biggest offenders aka KH slingers are bricks and they really aren’t in a position to control fights.
