Oooo play coastal, oooo become invested into dingy boats you never even heard of before oooooo /j

On a serious note, I do quite enjoy coastal due to its fast paced nature, although progression at T3 becomes very steep

Nah the joke is still funny because its true relative to the wider playerbase. Besides, there is always sim to look down upon.

I’d say its slightly more warranted to make the joke if you actually play naval because it just comes of as a superiority complex otherwise

I’m sorry if it’s 10 now, i didn’t want to offend anybody.

You can discuss in good faith or take your crass attitude elsewhere

I see naval enjoyers making the joke more often than not. Call it a sardonic badge of honor (the few, the… something).

That’s what I was trying to imply (apologies if I was unclear).

If someone actually has had experience in the mode or is willing to actually discuss properly, I don’t bat an eye.

When people go onto a thread about a mode they have no experience or interest in for the sole intent of being snarky, that’s when I have a problem with it.

Naval has gotten… a lot of abuse this past week or so with so many naval blogs and it has been frustrating for those who see navals potential have to constantly defend naval at times. Its funny on occasion but frustrating en-mass

Sadly, Gaijin deserves it since they place so many rakes for naval players to step on all the time…

Is grind in naval mode is that bad compare to heli?
I mean i did grind heli before and after pvp remove (both horrible experience)
I really wanna plays new battleship

It’s much more relaxed compared to air and ground. I’d say that 5.0-6.0 is a good sweet spot. Definitely give it a try :)

I’ve played extensively the Knox in RB and those BRs are ok.
I don’t play over 5.0 destroyers because it becomes slow also the powercreep starts becoming a thing.
But destroyers are fun, fast enough gameplay in general and i found it more enjoyable than ground anyway.

Grinding helis with helis? Its significantly better than that.

Right now with a premium ship you can probably expect around 40-60k RP an hour.

I’ve been trying arcade recently, its kinda dogwater from a gameplay perspective, but for grind you can just use auto aim mechanic there and watch youtube while you shoot at bots, so its pretty comfy grinding experience. If you want to actually make SL you’ll need a premium ship, if you aren’t concerned about SL talisman will work.

So ideally for comfy grinding method you buy a premium battleship, you want a battleship because it makes you less likely to be targeted by other players. Spawn in immediately reverse and go partly broadside and sit in your spawn, bots target things close to them so this makes you 100x more survivable. Then you just look at enemy name tags and go Light Cruiser > Heavy Cruiser > Battle Cruiser > Battleship, target whatever you see first in that order. You want to prioritize bots, they don’t really ever try to dodge shots, and they wont return fire if you are far away. Go ahead and bully players in light/heavy cruisers if you want, but I would not touch an actual player in a battleship. You’ll have to actually fight other players if they target you if you don’t want to just die immediately, otherwise you are just prioritizing bots.

Place the top of the aiming chevron center if the bot is coming at you, or just under a turret if they are side aspect, then hold down your fire key and watch youtube, do homework, whatever you want on a second screen or minimized screen. When the target dies you go onto the next.

Basically the new aiming system in arcade lets you do this absolute braindead strategy.
If you want actual gameplay and some semblance of a real game you’ll have to play realistic.

I think naval can be fun, but it will be frustrating if you don’t know all the ships, what you are doing etc. IDK what BR’s are good to play, obviously 7.0 is good, 5,7 maybe, and 3.7? Maybe someone has a stat shark chart for what BRs get the most downtiers. Premium blackholes and compression hurts naval a lot.

What auto aim mechanic would that be??

Short answer?

Nah.

You just put the chevron where you want to shoot and the game does the rest in arcade.

So you aim - by …aiming…and can’t actually go away and watch youtube 'cos it isn’t “auto-aim” at all…

You just put the chevron on the ship, hold down your fire key and watch youtube. Its not afk lol, but its not something you have to pay constant attention to.

In NAB, you dont have to deal with lead or range like you do in NRB and there isnt a lot of difference in RP gains (if any)
