Im finishing up japanese air and wondering what tree I should grind next. I already have the mirage f1c (not my favorite plane by any means) and have 8.3 for french planes. Almost done with props for germany and im rank 4 for Chinese planes. I could buy a premium jet to grind either as well with the upcoming sales.
France is very good I’m unfamiliar with Germany, but China has some excellent aircraft. Personally, I’d choose France, followed by China, but it’s up to you.
France its the best for air and ground battles. From those 3 options.

Rank 5 might be a little unpleasant but there are some real gems waiting higher up the tree.
China air is fairly good, especially at the highest two ranks but until that it can be a slog.
Germany has a few really good rank 5s and 6s but the top tier, apart from the EFs, is very lackluster. ( For Germany I would get the CL-13B regardless as it’s literally a god tier plane)
Definitely France out of those options. The Mirages are just great fun.
France or Germany. Chinese top tier is a bit disappointing for the grind it takes. Also went to China after finishing JPN Air and it’s like I just want to go back to Japan. But China has a lot of stuff that can be added yet so that may be something to consider if we start getting J-16s or the F-CK-1A
Edit: also if you are completely unfamiliar with Russian air I would avoid China and Germany for now but especially China since everything is a Russian copy with a few RoC western jets thrown in and then the J-10s that gaijin hates for some reason
Im kinda tempted to get the j7d and grind china ngl, it just has a lot ot variety especially compared to germany.
Grind the flankers and the mirage tbh. The fake drag in the J10s make them almost intolerable. Just a warning if you decide to grind China
France:
The main thing going for France is the Rafale (I don’t even want to mention the insult that is the American copy-paste that Gaijin force-fed France). The Mirage is an excellent plane, the only thing I have against it, is the fact you have to use two of the worst radar missiles. I guess not THE worst, but definitely extremely underwhelming. I have seen those bloody missiles fly directly in between two jets and moved on with their lives, but I have also seen the thing chase down some poor guy even without a proper lock.
The MICAs are way over hyped, sure they are excellent in close range fights, but that is on you for letting a Raffle get close to you. Plus, the MICA is dreadful close to the ground. I’ve seen people fly straight, no chaff, nothing, and the MICA would miss because they were <100m off the ground.
Magic 2s are an absolute beauty in rear aspect. Enough said.
I don’t particularly care about Rank 5 and 6 jets, they are just filler in my eyes. I basically play props, get into a premium until Rank 7, and then go back to playing.
Germany:
Copy paste American and Russian stuff. The pros are basically you get the best versions of said jets at each BR. So no having to go into the folder to get the MiG 15bis, or getting a better Sabre. Sure, you get some cool jets made with Italy, but the two trees you want are just American copy paste (to get to the Eurofighter and F-18) or Russian copy paste (MiG 29 and Su-22). Oh, and the Tornado? Don’t bother.
China:
Again, copy paste, and once again, you got most of the best stuff. Main downside is Rank 7+, your Russian copies are now worse off, especially the J-7 11.3 with only rear aspects, few flares, “buh buh muh tuhn wate” as the excuse to why it’s so high. Technically it should have all aspects, but Gaijin doesn’t care. Rank 8 is better because you get the Mirage, F-16, and Su-27 knock offs (which are all heavier Su-27s with worse missiles, I prefer R-73s over Pythons). Rank 9 is very good with Temu Grippens (J-10s).
It all depends on what you want. Pure fighters, I recommend China or France. I don’t care about Germany, plus German teammates are… German teammates. CAS, you’re better off with France, only because China is terrible at CAS (cue “buh buh wocket!”) like that matters. Hammers are better anyways.
