Should gaijin remove the spawn protection from the vehicle after the first shot is fired even if the vehicle is still in spawn? for example when SPAA starts shooting at you their protection will be removed and you can attack it to protect yourself

No. Spawn protection should not run out at all if you don’t move. If people are stupid enough to spawn camp they can all be free kills for you.

Nah, I think spawn protection is working just fine the way it is now. When I’m on the winning team I just wait behind cover for the enemies spawn protection to wear off before pushing further into their spawn.
When I’m on the losing team, I’ll often keep spawning in vehicles to try for a kill or two. It hardly matters because repair costs are tied to time alive, takes 5 minutes to get to the full repair cost. You are very unlikely to even live past 1 minute so the risk is very much worth the reward of an extra kill or two.
Works in favor of both sides. I’m perfectly happy with the current state of spawn protection. Both the current time limit of spawn protection, and how it falls off faster if you start moving.
A 1 minute spawn prot would be fine so long as SPAA loses spawn prot.
Problem is, this would affect ALL vehicles in all modes. So newly spawned vehicles without long range missiles would be quite vulnerable. Players just won’t respawn = ODL.

Fuck no. Until 9.0, planes have EVERY advantage over SPAA. And its designed that way.
-Planes have a map the size of a postage stamp to look for enemies. SPAAs have to search the skies and hit a fast moving target.
-Planes kill SPAA faster than SPAA kill planes. Burst mass of planes almost always exceeds SPAA and planes can often take a hit while spaa is 1/2 ammo and 1/2 bad crew placement.
-Planes can’t have internal ammo or suspended ordinance detonated until dropped.
-SPAA don’t get non-tracer belts, so they are revealed when they fire.
-Plane pilots are absurdly durable. Shoot a plane cockpit with a tank round and the majority of times they will continue flying with fuselage damage.
-APHE mostly fails to fuse on planes, meaning APHE rounds just act like AP.
-heavy bombers can bomb from orbit.
-planes with targeting computers can bomb from orbit.
-NORD or Bullpup can be fired from outside SPAA range.
-planes can suicide bomb and nearly guarentee a kill.
Essentially planes have to play poorly, get greedy, or get targeted by multiple AA to die without getting kills while most AA have <.5kdr vs air. Its truly sad how hand held pilots need to be in this game in a game mode called GROUND forces.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t think it’s fair at all that I get shot at by invincible tanks from their spawns just because I dared to move into a capture point…
But that’s a trash map design issue, not inherently a spawnprotection one.
