dont put those heli on italian tree. Italy has a plenty of native heli to add.
Turkish tt will not come soon so add it then when the Turkish tt will announce they can remove as they do Israeli ah64d on the Usa tt. if you have another ideas please keep it to yourself!
Agree with this +1
There some pretty awesome suggestions on this forum for Italian helis, I don’t get why they have been ignored.
These Hinds don’t add anything new since they only differ from Soviet Mi-24s in their camouflage.
Also, the awful grind for this heli tree has not been addressed since the AB 205 is still the starter heli, so people would still have to go through with it just to get to the Mi-24D.
My opinion would be to maybe keep one of the Hinds with more Hungarian-oriented modifications (maybe in the loadout or performance) and then add further Italian helis. We certainly don’t lack in possibility a variants.
Agreed!
Gaijin has passed countless vehicles on time and time again. The could put the energy of 1 unique helicopter or 1 unique ground vehicle in, over the energy of copy-pasting 10 Soviet vehicles. None of the Italy community wants this!
Yeah, this whole “neglect heli tree for years” then suddenly drop three copy paste Soviet helis is atrocious.
Sure they were in Hungarian service, and Hungary are now getting added as a sub TT.
But they sure as hell could’ve waited to add these if at all, after they’ve put some effort into making some of the Italian helis that the community has researched and suggested to developers.
Here is my take on the subject.
I do despise the concept of copy-paste. I am disappointed that Hungary has so much of it. Personally I believe Romania would have been a better choice, but that’s beside the point. Unfortunately, the concept and vehicles are here to stay. THAT BEING SAID, Italy has dozens of authentic helicopters, and there is no excuse for copy-pasting helicopters under the Hungarian flag as a replacement for including new Italian choppers. I do not mind them in addition to Italian vehicles, but not as a replacement for them.
The solution? Add an equal amount of Italian vehicles when copy-paste is done. Two tech tree and one premium for Hungary? Add two tech tree and one premium from Italy. That satisfies everyone and sets a precedent for future additions. Romania, which I hope comes to Italy soon as well, has helicopters of their own, and I’d like to see them added too, but Italy deserves primary representation, as it is their tree after all.
It would give the Italians a proper starter heli (a Huey with SS.11s), compared to the lackluster AB-205.
It would gets SPIKEs, which as mentioned have a range of 8km, and there are already superior missiles in game anyways
This is an issue which is affecting many nations in game and is ultimately diluting their uniqueness with copy paste vehicles which don’t really add much to the trees.
I know models may take a long time to make but for goodness’ sake, isn’t that the job of the developers at the end of the day? And if it’s too much work, then the models can always be outsourced. I’ve seen forum users make their own models in the past, mainly on the old forum. So it can’t be that hard
i think the 8km are the range for ground launched, if launched from air might be more of a 10km, and in that case it turns unhealthy for the game balance as long as japan, israel and italy dont have spaas that reach that far
ok that is fair and a good idea, but as far as i heard people demanded a lot of different stuff
Yes. Since Hungary has been made into a subtree of Italy its evident that the Hungarian aviation, helicopters, and the HU-made naval vessels hopefully inclouding the few early submarines built, will be added to Italy.
However, this heli subtree is still missing a Mi-8 or 17 and the H145M, H225M with Hforce weapon package. And lets be honest the starter heli for Italy is pure pain. A Mi-8/17 at least would have a huge load of rockets
This is the reason why in recent years they have not added Italian helicopters, they had already decided that they would add Soviet helicopters, so for Gaijin the problem was solved incorrectly.
At this point, why don’t you propose to change the name of the Italian TT to Hungarian TT, because of what is happening.
Yeah, brilliant. Let’s add even more copy-paste, to completely remove all the uniqueness of the Italian tech tree.
You can’t know when it might come or not.
Adding a heli that is actually related to Italy makes more sense.
No, everyone here are free to express their opinions.
a subtree means, ground, aviation, heli, and navy. And the quick reskin of existing assets is not something that is going to cancel out the possibility of adding Italian helicopters. There will be more Italian helicopters. Everything gets added to WT over time.
This patch is counted as addition to italy, so there is the high chance we will not see anything italian for a long time. Maybe they will add some other hungarian c&p to keep the interest but that’s it.
As italian addition i think they will add maybe something to naval but for ground and helis we filled the slots for now… to be honest if they did the kf-41 as a squad vehicle would’ve been better, all the stuff before is just a speed bump for it and as soon as germany get it (or a version of it, i don’t think gaijin will hold for long with what is happening on the forum on that lol).
Seems also like that there is no long term plan for maybe dividing the two because they added the AAs in the normal tree, if i would plan to add enough vehicles to make a separate tree (or attach it with maybe a czech/romanian tree) they would’ve putted them in the hungarian side.
This shows that there will be almost nothing for medium/long term.
Who even said that? South Africa didn’t receive any aircraft, vessels, and helicopters other than the premium Rooivalk. And compared to Hungary, they had a bigger defence industry.
Gaijin adds nations as subordinate trees for the existing main nations. not sub-ground trees. Besides Gaijin never stated that sub nations mean only ground…and now you can see that it means helicopters too evidently.
We are grateful for the helis and all the original hungarian vehicles and the copypastes that will boost the crappy lineups and gaps the tech tree had. This will boost popularity and that means Gaijin will have more interest in further developing the italian TT. Finally a good change.
